Some extremely powerful people inhabit the world of One Piece, and among them are pirates notorious for their life-threatening abilities. There are several ways to identify which pirate is more dangerous, but for the general populace, a pirate’s bounty is the only way to gauge their threat level. In this article, I list down some of the highest bounties in One Piece revealed so far, and most exceed 1 Billion Berries; berries being the currency of the One Piece world!
If you are a fan of the One Piece series, you might already know that having a high bounty doesn’t necessarily mean the pirate is a threat to the general public. It just means that the World Government and the Marines consider the pirates a threat.
But it’s a general rule that the higher the bounty, the more powerful a pirate will be. We have seen the bounties of all the Straw Hat Pirates starting from zero and increasing to reach new heights with every obstacle they overcome. And then, there are pirates like Shanks, who were established as the most powerful pirates from the beginning, only to have their bounties revealed later in the story.
In this article, I have listed only those One Piece bounties that have been revealed in the series. There are still several mighty characters in the story whose bounties we don’t know, but I am sure we’ll get to know them before the story ends.
With that out of the way, let’s not waste any more time and jump directly into the article and see which characters have the highest One Piece bounties!
The Highest Bounties in One Piece (2023)
25. Charlotte Perospero’s Bounty (700,000,000 Berries)
The firstborn child of Charlotte Linlin and the Minister of Candy, Charlotte Perospero, is up first with an insane bounty of 700,000,000 Berries. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a large amount of money, but compared to most pirates in the series, this is a crazy amount!
Perospero completely deserves this bounty as well, for many reasons. First, he is the firstborn child of one of the strongest characters in the One Piece world, Big Mom. Second, he possesses incredible strength thanks to his devil fruit, the Pero Pero no Mi. His powers may seem sweet and harmless, but they can create many problems for his enemies.
24. Charlotte Cracker’s Bounty (860,000,000 Berries)
Another one of Big Mom’s kids takes the next spot, as Charlotte Cracker has the next highest bounty with 860,000,000 Berries. Not only is Cracker one of Big Mom’s kids, but he is one of the three sweet commanders of the Big Mom Pirates, alongside his siblings Katakuri and Smoothie. This makes him a big deal in the pirate group and explains his high bounty.
Cracker ate the Bisu Bisu no Mi devil fruit, meaning he can create biscuits around him and use them for attacks. He can even change his body with these biscuits for insane defense and offense. He is a big deal in combat, even briefly making Luffy in Gear 4 struggle.
23. Nico Robin’s Bounty (930,000,000 Berries)
Nico Robin is the first of the Straw Hats on this list and is not to be underestimated. Robin has a very innocent demeanor, but underneath all that, she is one of the most vital members of the Straw Hat Pirates. Following the raid on Onigashima and her defeating Black Maria, Robin now has a bounty of 930,000,000 Berries.
This is one of the highest on the crew, but it’s also due to her knowledge. Robin is the last surviving member of the Ohara tribe, a group of people who learned a little too much about the Void Century, and she happens to be the only one we know who can read the Poneglyphs. This, combined with her immense strength, thanks to the Hana Hana no Mi, it’s no wonder she has one of the highest bounties in One Piece!
22. Charlotte Smoothie’s Bounty (932,000,000 Berries)
Another one of the sweet commanders of the Big Mom Pirates and daughter of Big Mom is Charlotte Smoothie. Smoothie is a member of the long-leg tribe, meaning her stature is not only huge but intimidating as well.
Her bounty sits at around 932,000,000 Berries, proving she is only second to her brother Katakuri. Smoothie is a powerhouse with her standing in the Big Mom Pirates and her incredible devil fruit, the Shibo Shibo no Mi.
Her fruit allows her to squeeze the liquid out of all living beings! She can also use both Armament and Observation Haki, so there’s no doubt why she has one of the biggest One Piece bounties!
21. Jack’s Bounty (1,000,000,000 Berries)
Jack is one of the closest companions to Kaido, third only to King and Queen, but he still packs a punch not only in strength but in bounty amount. Jack’s last known bounty was sitting pretty at 1,000,000,000 Berries!
This is due to his standing in the Beast Pirates and his meteoric strength, thanks to his Fish Man heritage and powerful Ancient Zoan devil fruit. His Zou Zou no Mi, Model: Mammoth allows him to turn into a mammoth, something he used to terrorize the minks on Zou.
His strength can rival even the toughest Sulong forms of the Mink Tribe, but he can’t hold a candle to the mightiest of the Mink Tribe.
20. Sanji’s Bounty (1,032,000,000 Berries)
The next Straw Hat on this list is Vinsmoke Sanji, now known as Black Leg Sanji, the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates. Sanji is a loyal mate of Monkey D. Luffy next to Roronoa Zoro, but he also has a very interesting heritage that boosted his bounty considerably.
Sanji is a part of the Vinsmoke Family, meaning he has superhuman powers thanks to his father’s experiments on him and his siblings as kids. This makes Sanji incredibly powerful and boosts his bounty.
With his superhuman powers, Haki, and training, Sanji is a beast in combat and even took down Queen on Onigashima. With a bounty of 1,032,000,000, Sanji sits at the 20th spot among the highest bounties in One Piece!
19. Charlotte Katakuri’s Bounty (1,057,000,000 Berries)
Charlotte Katakuri was a major antagonist during the Whole Cake Island arc and the man who made Luffy use his Gear 4 Snakeman for the first time. Despite being an enemy of the Straw Hats, Katakuri is a man admired by many all around the One Piece world. He has even become a fan favorite, especially after taking over the Big Mom pirates while Big Mom was away in Wano.
Now probably running the entire fleet Big Mom had, it’s safe to say Katakuri’s bounty could get even bigger. The last time we saw it, Katakuri had a bounty of 1,057,000,000 Berries, making it one of the highest One Piece bounties revealed then!
Katakuri’s bounty comes from his insane strength, having all three types of Haki and even using Future Sight to his advantage. His devil fruit is also exceptional, being the only Special Paramecia we have seen in the series.
18. Jinbe’s Bounty (1,100,000,000 Berries)
A Fish-man widely recognized around the One Piece world as the Knight of the Sea and Ex-Warlord, Jinbe is up next. In recent years, Jinbe has left the Warlords and joined the Straw Hat Pirates to battle alongside Luffy and his crew. Being an ex-warlord means Jinbe’s bounty was already big, but his bounty increased considerably since joining the Straw Hats.
Jinbe now has a bounty of 1,100,000,000 Berries, one of the highest in the series. He has mastered Fish-man karate and is highly skilled in both Observation and Armament Haki. He is another powerhouse for the Straw Hats, a friend to many, and an enormously powerful character in the series as a whole.
17. Roronoa Zoro’s Bounty (1,111,000,000 Berries)
Roronoa Zoro was once known as the Pirate Hunter, as he worked as a well-known bounty hunter before he met Luffy, and his life changed forever. Since then, Zoro has tried to become the best swordsman in the world, taking on Mihawk as a master and even gaining access to Enma, a cursed sword once owned by Kozuki Oden.
Zoro has seen some incredible power boosts throughout the series; with each of these, his bounty has increased. Zoro’s bounty is now sitting at 1,111,000,000 Berries, next to only Luffy’s among the Straw Hat crew. Now the strongest crewmate aside from Luffy, Zoro still has a higher bounty than Sanji!
16. Queen’s Bounty (1,320,000,000 Berries)
Queen the Plague is up next and is well known for his cyborg body, dancing skills, and incredibly destructive powers, thanks to his devil fruit. Queen was once part of a secret science group known as MADS before he joined the Beast Pirates to fight alongside Kaido.
Here his bounty increased as he became one of Kaido’s closest allies. Thanks to his cyborg body, the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Brachiosaurus devil fruit, and his past, it’s no surprise that Queen has an impressive bounty of 1,320,000,000 berries.
That’s a massive jump from Zoro, but it’s well-deserved. Queen has a lot of knowledge in that massive head of his, working alongside not only Vegapunk but also Vinsmoke Judge and Caesar Clown during his time with MADS.
15. Marco’s Bounty (1,374,000,000 Berries)
Marco the Phoenix is one of the last remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates, where he was the first division commander. His family might be lost and displaced around the world, but his loyalty to Luffy still stays. Marco has one of the strongest devil fruits in the entire series, a Mythical Zoan-type devil fruit known as Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix, which allows him to transform into a Phoenix.
Thanks to this power, Marco can defeat his enemies with ease and amplify his passion for medicine thanks to its healing properties. Marco helped with the raid on Onigashima and has insane loyalty to Luffy and the Straw Hats, thanks to the Paramount War. His bounty currently sits at 1,372,000,000 Berries!
14. King’s Bounty (1,390,000,000 Berries)
One of the last surviving members of the Lunarian race, and right hand to Kaido, King is up next. Being a Lunarian not only means you have the eyes of the government on you but also means you have some extraordinary powers. From insane defense to crazy offense, King does it all. He also has access to the Ryu Ryu no Mi: Model Pteranodon, allowing him to fly around and transform into a dinosaur.
King has a bounty of 1,390,000,000 Berries, the 14th highest One Piece bounties revealed. It is also well-deserved, mainly because of his position in the Beast Pirates. He is to Kaido what Zoro is to Luffy, which puts into perspective how powerful King is!
13. Boa Hancock’s Bounty (1,659,000,000 Berries)
Another ex-warlord, and Snake Princess of Amazon Lily Island, Boa Hancock, is next on the highest One Piece bounties list with her impressive 1,659,000,000 Berry bounty. She is the only woman the warlords ever had and the second in the series to get a bounty of over a billion. Hancock is a force to be reckoned with thanks to her standing as a Princess and her powerful devil fruit.
The Mero Mero no Mi is one interesting devil fruit, allowing her to use emotions as weapons, even turning people to stone who admire her. This fruit is so powerful that even Marshall D. Teach wanted to take it from her.
Boa Hancock may be one of the most beautiful girls in One Piece, but she is also an extremely powerful character, and now that Big Mom has been defeated, she has the potential to become the strongest female character!
12. Crocodile’s Bounty (1,965,000,000 Berries)
Crocodile is the first villain to stop Luffy’s string of victories, making him doubt himself and his skills. Now an ex-warlord, and former president of Baroque Works, Crocodile was and still is a powerful force in One Piece. Nowadays, Crocodile runs the Cross Guild alongside Dracule Mihawk and Buggy, where they place bounties on Marines.
With this power over a new bounty system, his status as an ex-crime lord and Warlord, and having the Logia-type devil fruit known as Suna Suna no Mi, Crocodile deserves such a high bounty. The last time we saw his bounty, it was sitting at 1,965,000,000 Berries, but it will surely increase thanks to his recent antics with Buggy!
11. Trafalgar Law’s Bounty (3,000,000,000 Berries)
The man who started the plan to take down the Yonko and a formidable ally to Luffy, Trafalgar D. Water Law is up next. His pirate crew was already doing well on the sea thanks to him being a part of the Worst Generation and Ex-member of the Donquixote Pirates, but his takedown of Big Mom alongside Captain Kid changed his status forever.
After the events in the Wano Country concluded, his bounty skyrocketed to 3,000,000,000 Berries! This is, of course, due to the defeat of Big Mom, but also thanks to his mighty Paramecia-type devil fruit, the Ope Ope no Mi. Law has been a powerful ally since he appeared earlier in the series but was sadly defeated at the hands of Blackbeard recently in the manga, with him being on the run currently.
10. Eustass Kid’s Bounty (3,000,000,000 Berries)
As the Kid Pirates leader and a Worst Generation member, Eustass Kid has a bounty of 3,000,000,000 Berries. Kid started with a 315,000,000 Berry bounty before joining Luffy and Law in their battle against the Beast Pirates.
He has the Jiki Jiki no Mi devil fruit, an extremely powerful fruit that allows him to control magnetic fields around him. This isn’t the reason why his bounty is so high, though. Like Law, his bounty skyrocketed to 3 billion because he took down Big Mom, a Yonko, and helped fight and take down Kaidou too.
His bounty was well deserved, but it seemed like he got in over his head as he marched to fight Shanks and take revenge for a previous defeat, only to be effortlessly defeated by Shanks once again after arriving on Elbaf.
9. Monkey D. Luffy’s Bounty (3,000,000,000 Berries)
The future King of the Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy, is next with his 3 billion berry bounty, making it one of the highest One Piece bounties! Since Arlong Park, Luffy has slowly added more and more zeroes to his bounty, from the early days of 30,000,000 berries to finally reaching 3 billion after defeating Kaido.
His consistently increasing bounty is all due to his status on the sea changing and his dramatic power boosts. Luffy has now reached his peak form thanks to his devil fruit awakening and seemingly can’t be stopped.
In the manga right now, a huge war is brewing on Egghead Island where a Marine Admiral, one of the Five Elders, the CP0 agents, and even Blackbeard Pirates are on their way to the island, so maybe Luffy’s bounty won’t stick at 3 billion for long!
8. Buggy’s Bounty (3,189,000,000 Berries)
Buggy has got to be the luckiest character in the series at this point, as no matter how hard the situation he is in, he always seems to come out as the victor in some way. Buggy was a former member of the Roger Pirates alongside Shanks as kids and is now the leader of the Cross Guild!
Buggy has come from being a lowly pirate to becoming one of the Warlords, and now he has become one of the Emperors of the Sea, all thanks to chance and good luck. It’s gotten to the point where his bounty is even higher than Luffy’s, sitting at a whopping 3,189,000,000 Berries!
Buggy has the 8th highest bounty in the series, which will only increase from here on out. This guy could even become the King of the Pirates if he wanted to; oh wait, he does!
7. Dracule Mihawk’s Bounty (3,590,000,000 Berries)
Despite being considered lower than Buggy in Cross Guild, Mihawk is still the strongest swordsman in the One Piece world. That means his bounty has to be high, which it is, considering he has one of the highest bounties in One Piece!
Mihawk’s bounty is currently sitting at an insane 3,590,000,000 Berries! Known as the Marine Hunter, an ex-warlord and current member of Cross Guild, Mihawk is a highly regarded and feared character in the One Piece world.
It’s not surprising that his bounty is higher than most, as he is strong enough to be an Emperor of the Sea if he chose to be one and had a crew by his side. Mihawk has climbed the ranks of the strongest characters and become the strongest swordsman without having a crew, which is seriously impressive!
6. Marshall D. Teach, aka Blackbeard’s Bounty (3,996,000,000 Berries)
Marshall D. Teach, also known as the infamous Blackbeard and captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, is one of the Emperors of the Sea, which means he has an insane bounty. His current bounty sits at 3,996,000,000 Berries, thanks to his global exploits and his actions during and following the Marineford War.
Not only does he possess one of the strongest Logia-type devil fruits, the Yami Yami no Mi, that allows him to render other devil fruit powers useless, but he also has the mysterious power to eat at least two devil fruits without dying. Blackbeard has broken the rules of One Piece, taking one of the strongest devil fruits in the Gura Gura no Mi as his own.
Having two of the strongest devil fruits in his possession, Blackbeard seems unstoppable. He has made waves across the world, so it’s no wonder his bounty is exceptionally high. He recently even defeated Trafalgar D. Water Law and his crew relatively easily after Wano Kuni and even went after Boa Hancock to get her devil fruit.
5. Shanks’ Bounty (4,048,900,000 Berries)
The mysterious Shanks takes the 5th spot on this list with his impressive bounty of 4,048,000,000 Berries. Shanks is a powerful Emperor of the Sea and a former member of the Roger Pirates. Not only is Shanks a master of all forms of Haki and a proficient wielder of advanced Conqueror’s Haki, but he doesn’t even have a devil fruit. Shanks keeps the same trend as Roger’s crew, having no devil fruits among his Red Hair Pirates.
Shanks is an extremely overpowered Haki user who controls most of the Grand Line. Like Whitebeard, his crew and fleet are his family, meaning he helps everyone he can rather than going for the strongest pirates or pillaging innocent people.
He has the title “Killer of Observation Haki” thanks to his insane prowess in Haki as a whole. We don’t understand Shanks completely, but it’s safe to say his bounty makes sense, considering we’ll see more of him as we enter the Final Saga of One Piece.
4. Charlotte Linlin, aka Big Mom’s Bounty (4,388,000,000 Berries)
Widely known as the strongest female character in the series, Big Mom is next with her whopping bounty of 4,388,000,000 Berries. Big Mom had some wicked powers at her hands, as well as her control over the Whole Cake Island and her children.
Big Mom gained notoriety across the world for almost being a collector of races, as all of her children are from different races around the globe. Big Mom was extremely powerful right from the moment she was born. With access to all three types of Haki and her devil fruit, the Soru Soru no Mi, which allowed her to control the souls of others, she ruled her people with an iron fist.
She was recently defeated in the story by Law and Kid and lost her status as Emperor of the Sea. Big Mom is also presumed dead right now, but there is a chance that she’d make a comeback!
3. Kaido’s Bounty (4,611,100,000 Berries)
Another character who was defeated recently is Kaido, the leader of the Beast Pirates and the “strongest creature in the world.” Kaido was regarded around the entire One Piece world as a huge threat and someone no one should mess with, which proves the insane powers he possessed.
Kaido had access to all three types of Haki, along with their advanced forms, and possessed a remarkably powerful devil fruit with the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu. This allowed him to transform into an Azure Dragon, taking on his enemies and putting fear into others. His entrance during the Wano Kingdom arc is easily one of the most iconic in the entire series.
His status was only further elevated thanks to his previous status as a member of the almighty Rocks Pirates, which solidified his status in the One Piece world with a bounty of 4,611,100,000 Berries. Kaido was defeated by Gear 5 Luffy at the end of the Wano arc and is currently presumed dead.
2. Edward Newgate, aka Whitebeard’s Bounty (5,046,000,000 Berries)
The man who exclaimed to the world that “The One Piece is Real,” Edward Newgate, aka Whitebeard, is on the second spot on this list featuring the highest bounties in One Piece!
Whitebeard was widely considered the strongest man on the planet, and his devil fruit was considered the strongest as well. His fruit, the Gura Gura no Mi, could create shockwaves and earthquakes, possibly destroying the world if it got into the wrong hands.
Whitebeard had mastered all three forms of Haki, along with their advanced forms, making him an extreme threat to even Gol D. Roger if they weren’t secretly friends. The direct rival of the Pirate King and Emperor of the Sea lost his life at Marineford trying to save Ace. Despite that, his bounty of 5,046,000,000 Berries was more than deserved, and no character alive has reached that figure yet!
1. Gol D. Roger’s Bounty (5,564,800,000 Berries)
Finally, who in the series can have the highest bounty besides King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger? This beast of a man conquered the entire world of One Piece and left all his treasure in one place, or so he proclaimed.
As the man who sailed his crew to Laugh Tale, the final island on the Grand Line, battled against the strongest pirates in the world and became King of the Pirates, he had a bounty of 5,564,800,000 Berries, which is at the top among the highest One Piece bounties revealed!
He had mastered all three forms of Haki and was highly proficient in using advanced Conqueror’s Haki, and he rose to the top of the world with them. Widely regarded as the true master of Haki, there wasn’t anything Roger couldn’t defeat. Recently, Kaido revealed that Roger didn’t have a devil fruit power, meaning he reached the top with his innate strength.
This man was the epitome of wealth, fame, and power and deserved the highest bounty ever recorded in the series!
