Voice Cast Comments on Re:ZERO Season 4 Announcement:
The announcement was such a big deal that even the voice actors of the main cast shared their comments. Here’s what they had to say:
Rie Takahashi, the Japanese voice actress of Emilia, said:
“Re:ZERO, which has continued up through the 3rd season, and now—being able to announce a sequel right after the anime’s broadcast ends. Believe it or not, this is the first time we’ve been able to do that!
The final episode might’ve hit hard emotionally, but first, let’s enjoy this follow-up announcement as a reward! To everyone: Please keep your passion for Re:ZERO burning strong, and don’t forget about him, either! Make sure to look forward to what’s next! And once again, thank you so, so much for supporting Re:ZERO!”
Yusuke Kobayashi, the Japanese voice actor of Subaru, shared:
Thought you’d have to wait another 4 years?! Not this time!! That’s right—Season 4 is officially in production!
Nostalgic characters are returning, Subaru isn’t in his usual tracksuit, former enemies are appearing, and Julius has a sorrowful expression. Even just the teaser visual stirs up so many emotions. What kind of landscapes will the next season show us? Please look forward to the broadcast!”
What to Expect from Re:ZERO Season 4?
The third season’s final episode concluded the 5th arc, ending with Volume 20 of the light novel.
This means the upcoming fourth season will adapt from Volume 21 of the light novel, and the story will enter the 6th arc.
Not much is known about the plot of the upcoming season, as it is still too soon, but here’s what the synopsis of the 21st Volume of the light novel tells us:
“The Witch Cult has finally been driven from Water Gate City, but the turbulent events have left deep scars on Pristella. Far too many people have even been robbed of their names and memories. To save them, Subaru and his friends set off on a dangerous journey to the Pleiades Watchtower. To get there, they must cross the Auguria Dunes, home to vicious demon beasts of every stripe and so treacherous a place that even Reinhard was forced to turn back. The only way they can make it across is to trust the guidance of a spirit bearing the name of a certain witch and a demon beast tamer who once tried to kill everyone in Roswaal Manor. With such unsettling traveling companions and a still-sleeping Rem along for the ride, Subaru must stay on his toes to ensure everyone reaches their destination in one piece.”
That brings us to the end of the article! It’s still too soon for us to have any concrete information about the fourth season as it was just announced. But it’s good news because we have official confirmation that a new season is in production, and it will only be a matter of time before it is released.
So, let’s look forward to the upcoming Re:ZERO Season 4, and make sure to come back here as I’ll update this page as soon as new information is revealed!
