Mihawk’s bounty is finally revealed in chapter 1058 of the One Piece manga! Fans of the manga have speculated a lot about his bounty, which was never shown since his appearance, and it made sense because he was one of the Warlords of the Sea affiliated with the World Government. So, whatever his bounty was previously might have been rescinded.

But that’s no longer the case as the World Government and the Navy have officially revoked the Warlord system. This means that Mihawk no longer enjoys the perks of being affiliated with them, and he is back to being a pirate and on the wanted list. Even the Navy has already surrounded Gloom Island, Mihawk’s home base, following the abolishment of the Warlord System.

But just because the Navy has him cornered doesn’t mean he is down. This is Dracule Mihawk we are talking about, the man who can cut ships in half with a single sword slash.

The Navy knows that too, which is why they have given Mihawk a new bounty, and the figure puts him on par with the Yonko, the Four Emperors of the Sea!

    What is Dracule Mihawk’s Bounty?

After speculating for over two decades of the story and debating about how strong is the strongest swordsman in the world, we finally have a kind of confirmation regarding his strength based on the bounty figure posted on his head.

In chapter 1058 of One Piece manga, along with the new bounties of Straw Hat Pirates, we also got to see new bounties of several characters, one of which was Dracule Mihawk.

Dracule Mihawk’s bounty is 3,590,000,000 Berries! Yes, you read that right. It’s 3.590 Billion Berries! His bounty is essentially higher than 3 of the Four Emperors of the Sea!

So what makes Mihawk worthy of such a bounty figure? Well, there are multiple reasons apart from him being the “Strongest Swordsman in the World.”

Chapter 1058 revealed that Mihawk was also known as the “Marine Hunter,” which means that he actively went after the marines and hunted them. For a person with such a reputation, a bounty in the billions is worth it.

Plus, he is now part of the Cross Guild, along with Sir Crocodile and Buggy, and the guild is responsible for posting bounties on marines making them fearful of their lives even around regular citizens of the One Piece World.

We also shouldn’t forget that this man is essentially considered a rival of Shanks, one of the strongest among the Four Emperors at the moment. And Mihawk is a pirate with no crew, no territory in the New World, no grand fleet of his own, and no Devil Fruit abilities either. It’s just him and him alone, and his presence is so terrifying that not many people are brave enough to stand against him.

When you consider things like that, it’s only natural that the World Government and the Navy would award him with a bounty far surpassing most of the Emperors’.

Mihawk’s Bounty Revealed – What Will Happen Next?

Now that we know about Mihawk’s bounty and just how powerful he is on his own, we can put the debate to rest whether Mihawk is Yonko-level or not.

Because we now have the answer, he is Yonko-level!

Even though we don’t know if he can beat Shanks or whether Shanks is stronger than him, we know that if these two powerhouses ever fought, with no holds barred, none of them will come out of the battle unscathed.

And there’s also one other thing revealed in One Piece chapter 1058, which was the Dracule Mihawk is more skilled at sword-fighting than Shanks. So, while Shanks might have the upper hand in strength and Haki capabilities, Mihawk is a better swordsman.

Now that the World Government has put a new bounty on his head, there will be some effect on the events happening in the One Piece world. But we don’t yet know how this will affect the future One Piece arcs.

One thing is certain, while Dracule Mihawk has stated that he wants a quiet life and doesn’t want to be an Emperor, and he would much rather have the world think that Buggy is the head of Cross Guild, he will undoubtedly play a big part in the story now that we are in the final stretches.

All we have to do now is wait and see how the revelation of Dracule Mihawk’s bounty affects the story and how Oda-sensei will use this to give us more bombastic chapters in the future.
