Fall 2022 is about to start, and this season is nothing less than a blessing for anime lovers. The most loved and award-winning manga, Blue Lock, is set to debut in the anime world as the creators have confirmed its release.
Almost 20 volumes of the manga have been released, and it is still ongoing, with a total of seven arcs covered. Blue Lock has received constant love from otakus worldwide for almost four years. For its unique and hair-raising plot, it’s considered one of the best sports manga alongside Haikyuu.
Fans have been waiting for the release date ever since its anime adaptation was confirmed with a teaser and a visual. Blue Lock fans have been thinking about only one thing all this time: when will Blue Lock anime come out?” And now, we know that answer!
The teaser and visuals have added to the fans’ curiosity, and the showrunners have continued to tease the fans with bits and pieces of information every now and then. The teasers with release dates did nothing except increase the hype for these upcoming anime.
On August 12, the creators of Blue Lock decided to share some good news with their fans through the official Twitter account. They revealed the release date, a new key ar, and the trailer, which received a good response within no time. The visual had all the main players displayed on it. Moreover, the details about the cast and crew were also revealed.
What Is The Release Date Of Blue Lock Anime?
Two months before its broadcast, the official news started circulating online. It had been decided that the anime will be released on October 8, Friday, on TV Asahi in Japan. Global fans will depend on Crunchyroll to watch their favorite anime.
8Bit Studio is animating Blue Lock. It’s the name behind popular anime like That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, Infinite Stratos, and many more. Hopes and expectations of the fans from the creators are incredibly high, and the creators are all set to take the anime to the top.
The anime’s opening and ending song details have also been revealed. UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, the famous rock band, has created the opening theme song “Chaos Ga Kiwamimaru” for the anime. It has also worked for several well-known anime opening songs, including Fate/Grand Order, Welcome to the Ballroom, and many more. Shugo Nakamura is the one responsible for the ending theme song, “Winner.”
It’s predicted that the anime will release 24 episodes, but it’s not yet officially confirmed. However, Blue Lock will definitely get more than one season since the manga is still ongoing.
What Is Blue Lock All About?
Blue Lock is a sports-based manga that highlights soccer. Otaku has always loved sports anime, but Blue Lock won hearts with its stressful and hair-raising sequences.
The story focuses on the journey of multiple characters. It all starts with the entry of a new coach, Jinpachi Ego. The Japanese team couldn’t win the FIFA 2018 World Cup as they got eliminated early in the tournament. To avoid repeating history, Jinpachi takes responsibility as a coach.
The higher-ups aim to make the team win the next 2022 world cup. Jinpachi creates a new training plan and invites 300 players. The training program starts in “Blue Lock,” which is no less than a prison. The players will have to clear all the challenges given to them. At last, only one will be able to survive and come out as the best striker.
The training process where every player wants to be the best would be worth watching. Isagi Yoichi is our main player who also gets the opportunity to participate in this rigorous training. Isagi is a teenager full of passion and has played as a forward for his high school football team.
The anime is predicted to follow the original manga plot, but it still depends upon the creators. Supposing that the anime may span over 24 episodes, chances are that it will cover the first two arcs, so fingers crossed. The first “Introduction Arc” is just four chapters long. The second arc, “First Selection Arc,” consists of the following 34 chapters.
In the Introduction Arc, three hundred players are introduced along with the project details of Blue Lock. The characters gather together with only one aim: to become the best striker. While in the First Selection Arc, as the name suggests, is about the selection of the teams. Some teams would be divided into different sectors and would have to compete in the match. Only a specified number of teams from each sector will win, and the remaining will be ultimately expelled.
The two arcs mentioned above span over thirty-eight chapters, so we hope the creators will cover them both in the first season.
