My Hero Academia is one of the most popular titles right now, so you must be very interested in starting its manga series. But if you don’t know where to begin or how many volumes of My Hero Academia are there, keep reading, as you will find all that information in this article!

My Hero Academia is one of those titles that became big as it was getting serialized, reaching incredible levels of popularity to the point of getting several seasons for its anime adaptation. With the manga having over 85 million copies in circulation worldwide, it is one of the most accessible titles you can get into, so it’s a perfect choice for those wanting to get into manga!

But, just like it happens with many other titles, reading manga can be a little time-consuming. One factor that many people consider when starting a manga series is its number of chapters and the number of volumes available at the moment. This makes it easier to estimate how much money you would spend if you buy the volumes in a physical format or if you have the time or the level of commitment to see it through to the end.

Considering the popularity of My Hero Academia, its quality, as well as the fact that the manga is still in serialization yet is close to ending, I believe there’s no better moment to start it, especially if you want to enjoy the hype trend of its ending with your friends and the community.

But, to decide whether to start it or not based on the number of volumes it has, we decided to share with you exactly how many My Hero Academia volumes there are, along with their reading order!

So, how many chapters are there in My Hero Academia? And how many volumes?

my hero academia manga in order

What is My Hero Academia Manga All About?

My Hero Academia is a shonen title that thrived in the industry thanks to its fantastic premise and many characters, with some of them being loved by the fans more than the main character itself! The series is often described as the one title that followed Naruto’s path, and at the moment, it is definitely one of the few titles leading the charts in terms of popularity.

Now, My Hero Academia tells the story of a world in which most people evolved and developed supernatural abilities known as quirks. With this change, people started to take advantage of their powers to commit crimes; thus, superheroes appeared in the scene to deal with said villains, and the job of being a superhero was then born into society.

Izuku Midoriya is one of the many kids who dream of becoming a hero, but sadly, as he grew up, he learned that he was part of the small percentage of people who couldn’t develop a quirk. And even though he had to accept this reality, he still dreamed of becoming a hero.

Midoriya’s dream was mainly born due to the number one hero, All Might, whom he has admired ever since he watched a scene of him saving hundreds of people in a matter of minutes. The fact that he wouldn’t be able to become like him broke his heart and caused him a lot of self-esteem and confidence problems.

One day, while returning home, Izuku witnesses his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugou, being attacked by a supervillain. Even though he didn’t have a quirk, as he saw no one attempt to help him, he jumped into the fray and was saved by All Might himself.

Although All Might was able to help the two boys and save them from the grasp of the supervillain, he became interested in the heroic but quirkless boy. Out of admiration for Izuku, All Might takes him under his wings, trains him, and prepares him for the biggest change of his life – inheriting his powers and becoming the next number one hero, aka “Symbol of Hope.”

Thus, Izuku, with all the determination he can muster, trains as hard as he can and joins the U.A. Academy for heroes, all for the sake of learning how to control his powers and becoming the number one hero, just as All Might once was. Of course, things won’t be easy as he will face many challenges, including events inside the school and plenty of dangerous villains capable of destroying the world and the civilized society as we know it.

Now that I have answered your query about how many volumes of My Hero Academia are there and the fact that the manga is currently going through a fantastic arc, I recommend you start reading it as soon as possible!
