Ubisoft’s presentation at the E3 2017 brought to light the sequel of the highly popular The Crew racing game. Now named The Crew 2, this open-world racing game really is pushing all limits of reality and taking racing to a whole new levels.
The official announcement trailer of The Crew 2 showed off a plethora of different environments players could race in. Sure the game packs licensed cars with realistic mechanics, but it also does so much more. The trailers of the game not only showed normal racing cars on the track but off-road cars, trucks, bikes, boats and even planes that you can race with. The trailer also takes us to the waters and narrow streams of jungles for sprint boat racing, as well as flying in Red Bull Air Race series. Oh, and let’s not forget the crazy cop chase element that every top-tier racing game has to have.

Here’s The Crew 2’s official gameplay video:
The Crew 2 is, arguably, pretty unrealistic in some aspects. For one, you really can’t expect to have planes racing across the city of Manhattan, but that’s exactly what the company was aiming at. According to the game developer, Stephane Belay, this sequel to the original game has taken things “to the next level” and that “the Crew 2 takes the game way beyond driving.”
As far as the release schedule of the game is concerned, Ubisoft confirmed that The Crew 2 will be available to buy by early 2018. The game will first come in a beta form in the coming months, and you can register now for the access of the beta version. The Crew 2 will launch on all the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
