Ghost type Pokémon are generally the most mysterious kind of Pokémon and the trainers who choose to specialize in this type also happens to be quite unique themselves.
As of Generation VIII, there have been just 59 ghost-type Pokémon introduced in the franchise which means that this type is the second rarest type after the ice-type. But even though there are quite few ghost Pokémon so far, almost all of them are quite memorable and that’s one of the reasons why they are so popular.
This is also one of the only types to be immune against both normal-type and fighting-type and the ghost-types are generally known to be rather mischievous as they love to scare and prank humans just to see their faces and reactions. Most ghost-type Pokémon prefer to inhabit the underworld or abandoned places. They frighten and confuse people and like to play pranks on others.
