My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 will be officially released in July 2025! It was revealed in December 2024 that the second season would be coming in 2025; recently, we learned the month it would be released.
We still don’t know the exact release date, but it’s only a matter of days before it is announced! In just a few weeks, we will see our favorite anime couple back in action.
My Dress-Up Darling was a pretty underrated manga before it received an anime adaptation, but its popularity has skyrocketed since then. The manga has more eyes on it than ever, and the first anime season did super well worldwide, which cemented its position as one of the best romance manga ever.
The first season premiered in 2022, so it’s been quite a long wait for us fans to see our favorite characters back in action. Even after the sequel was announced soon after the first season ended, it took a long time to finally get a release date!

The first visual for the anime’s second season was revealed in December 2024. It featured Gojo surrounded by Marin in all her different cosplays.
And during the AnimeJapan 2025 event in March 2025, when the sequel’s first teaser trailer was revealed, they also revealed a special illustration.
What to Expect From My Dress-Up Darling Season 2?
We don’t want to spoil what will happen in season 2 of My Dress-Up Darling, but we can give you a little glimpse.
Of course, we will see both Gojou and Marin once again. Their relationship will develop further in the next few manga arcs, as season 2 of My Dress-Up Darling should animate chapter 40 and beyond.
We will see Marin’s growth as a cosplayer, seeing her fit more into her skin, thanks to Gojou. Marin goes through quite a lot in the next arc, understanding herself more and realizing what cosplay she truly wants to do. In doing so, she increasingly involves Gojou, realizing her growing feelings towards him.
Gojou stays oblivious to her feelings, even if she makes some of them quite evident as the story progresses. Things get a little tense between Gojou and Marin as more cosplayers are introduced into the series. Characters like Amane and Akira will be introduced as counterparts for both Marin and Gojou.
Here, we will see their two new and unique personalities thrown into Marin and Gojou’s world, creating problems, ideas, and issues for both characters.
Gojou will also learn more about his past and what he wants to do with his cosplay prowess. What sort of cosplay is he interested in making, how can he improve his craft, and how can he make Marin happier? All of this and more will be introduced next season!
Is My Dress-Up Darling Manga Finished?
Yes, the manga series is finished! My Dress-Up Darling manga concluded in March 2025, with chapter 115 being the final chapter.
While My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 is yet to be released, we hope we’ll get one more season to cover the rest of the manga’s story and bring the epic romance between Marin and Gojo to a satisfying conclusion!
