Developer Bungie has learnt a lesson from the prequel to the game, Destiny 1 and this time the game has a more solid, interesting plotline. The story campaign mode, named as the Red War Campaign, will be set in the last city of Earth with the protagonists fighting against the Dominus Ghaul and the Red Legion again.
Destiny 2 is also including exquisite weaponry, dynamic weathers and intense graphics. The incredible visual experience owes to the fact that the game will be 4K with a frame rate of 30fps for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version, though, is altogether a different story. NVIDIA is supplying the GPU for Destiny 2 at 4K resolution and frame rate of a whopping 60fps that was unachievable on the PS4 Pro. “The console, the PS4 Pro is super powerful, but it couldn’t run our game at 60. Our game’s this rich physics simulation where collision of players, networking, etc, and like, it wouldn’t run… [there’s] not enough horsepower there,” Game developer, Luke Smith, told IGN.
Snippets of Destiny 2 displayed at E3 did not specify what PC it was running on, but we have reason to believe it could have been with the powerful GTX 1080 Ti.
It seems that fans were anxiously waiting for the Destiny 2 announcement at the E3 as the line for the game closed in merely 3 minutes. Bungie Marketing Director, Eric Osborne shared a tweet about the crowd’s excitement in these words:
Welp. The line for Destiny 2 hands on hit capacity and had to be capped three minutes after show open. Please don't eat us!
