One Piece chapter 1081 has been delayed as Eiichiro Oda is on a break next week, and this has made fans sigh in displeasure because they have to wait for a long time after finally seeing Garp in action!
The latest chapter, i.e., chapter 1080, finally showed why Monkey D. Garp is considered one of the strongest marines and a rival of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. The chapter ended with Garp unleashing a devastating attack against the Blackbeard Pirates as he went there to save Koby.
But we’ll have to wait for some time now that the One Piece manga is on break next week, but don’t worry, as we will get to see the new chapter before long as the new release date is already announced.
One Piece Chapter 1081 Release Date:
Chapter 1081 of One Piece will be released on April 24, 2023, in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 21/22. However, as the raw scans are released a couple of days prior, you will be able to read the chapter as early as April 21, 2023!
You will be able to read the new chapter on the VIZ website or at MangaPlus!
The next chapter was supposed to release next week, but the break was announced out of nowhere. A break wasn’t expected after chapter 1080 because there was a break last week, but since Oda-sensei takes breaks for health reasons and to ensure that he stays fit and active, we can let it go. Better to have a one-week break than the manga going on a long hiatus.
So, the upcoming One Piece chapter 1081 will release two weeks from now, on April 21, 2023, and officially release on April 24, 2023!
What to Expect from One Piece Chapter 1081?
There are a lot of expectations from the upcoming chapter because the latest chapter, chapter 1080, was another banger filled with a lot of information.
We got some new information about various Blackbeard Pirates and were greeted by several SWORD members who came to the Pirate Island to save Captain Koby.
Koby has escaped his imprisonment and is acting as a decoy so the other prisoners can run and get off the island. However, it’s proving to be a challenging task as all the pirates on the island are after him so that they can claim the bounty that the Cross Guild has put on him.
While the chase is happening, we see several Blackbeard Pirates getting ready to catch him, and the devil fruits they have eaten are revealed.
Meanwhile, new characters are introduced to the story, the SWORD members, who are on the island to rescue Koby. All these SWORD members are working together to drive all the pirates on the island to the city center. And when they are at the center, we see Garp on his ship as it is launched into the air. Garp jumps off the ship and prepares his attack coated with haki, probably the most advanced form of armament haki.
Garp unleashes his devastating “Galaxy Fist” attack and completely destroys the center with a single punch. This shows us that there is a reason why he was considered Roger’s rival and is still a Hero of the Marines and one of the strongest Marines there is!
So, I am sure the next chapter will pick up right from where we left off. We will see the few members of the Blackbeard Pirates and the SWORD members, led by Monkey D. Garp, fighting on the island.
Of course, there’s no way we can predict the battle’s outcome. But one thing is certain, Oda-sensei is slowly giving us several expositions about all the hyped-up characters. He is saying that he didn’t just hype these characters for no reason; they actually possess the overwhelming strength to live up to their reputation.
Just a couple of chapters ago, we saw Shanks showcasing his overwhelming might, and now it’s Garp’s turn to let the pirates know that the HERO is here!
Conclusion
Since there are still two weeks left before the new chapter is released, there aren’t any spoilers or leaks to share with you. The spoilers are available a couple of days before the chapter is released, even before the raw scans are available.
Until then, just read the latest chapter and look forward to the upcoming One Piece chapter 1081, and hope it does indeed show a battle where Garp’s finally going all out against the pirates!
