Aniplex has officially announced the release date for the first part of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie Trilogy; it will come out in Japan on July 18, 2025!

During a live stream on March 1, 2025, Aniplex, one of Japan’s leading production studios, announced the release date for the much-anticipated movie. They’ve only announced a release date for the film in Japan, and the international release date will be unveiled in the upcoming months.

Please note that this release date is for the “first part” of a movie trilogy. The makers have announced that the Final Arc of Demon Slayer anime will be adapted into a movie trilogy. There is no release information for the second and third parts of the trilogy!

Along with announcing the release date, they also released a special “promotion reel” to build even more hype for the movie!

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie – Promotion Reel:

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie – New Key Visual:

In addition to the promotion reel and the movie’s release date, a new key visual was revealed at the event. This new key visual shows almost all the characters who’ll play a prominent role in the movie trilogy.

We can see Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Nezuko, along with the Hashiras and the Upper Moons. However, Muzan isn’t featured in this visual, likely due to him not being an integral part of the first movie!

    Everything Announced During the Livestream:

Apart from the reveal of the release date, the promotional reel and the key visual, there were some more announcements made at the event.

It was revealed that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Movie will receive a 4K remaster and will be released in Japanese theaters for a five-week run. Screenings will begin on May 9, 2025, and end a little before the Infinity Castle Movie’s release.

That’s not all; the rest of the Demon Slayer anime series will also receive special screenings. Each arc from the anime will be re-edited in the “Kimetsu Theater” format and released weekly, starting from April 4, 2025, until the release of Infinity Castle Movie.

While we only know the movie’s release date in Japan, there is no word about its release date in other countries around the world.

However, a couple of weeks earlier, CineStar, one of Germany’s largest cinema chains, listed Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie with a September 25, 2025 release date. As the official accounts of the anime have neither confirmed nor denied this release date, the movie’s international release will likely take place sometime in the last quarter of 2025!

What is Demon Slayer Anime About?

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime series based on the manga of the same name. It was written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge and ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020.

The series focuses on Tanjiro Kamado, who lost his entire family to a vicious demon attack. Only his younger sister, Nezuko Kamado, survived the attack. However, Nezuko is no longer human, as she has been transformed into a demon herself.

After a fateful encounter with a Demon Slayer, Tanjiro decides to devote his life to becoming a Demon Slayer, eliminate as many demons as possible, and find a cure to turn his sister back to a human.

The anime has run for four seasons and a movie, and the last season, the Hashira Training Arc, left us with a cliffhanger: Muzan Kibutsuji, the King of Demons, trapped every single Demon Slayer into the Infinity Castle, where the final battle would begin!

As this is one of the most popular anime series right now, the makers decided to turn the final arc into a movie trilogy and give fans worldwide a cinematic experience unlike ever before!

After a long wait, we finally have a release date for the first part of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie trilogy, and it’s not too long. The movie will be released in Japan on July 18, 2025, and it will soon be released in other countries as well!
