The world of ecchi manga is filled with several titles that you can start reading immediately, but not all of them are worth your time. That’s why I took it upon myself to prepare a list of the best ecchi manga series that have both – a good story and tons of erotica!
The ecchi genre stands for all that is naughty, filled with perverted and flirtatious behaviors, yet nuanced heavily with sexual overtones.
While it revolves around sensual jokes, gorgeous female figures, suggestive gestures, and sometimes compromising body shots, it does not go beyond teasing; well, mostly!
That said, it is still brimming with titillating content, ranging from steamy panty/nipple shots to either gawking, caressing, or outright groping.
And so, ecchi manga has gained an enormous fan base of dedicated and casual manga readers, especially the ones who can’t stomach hentai but still wish to read something lewd and lustful.
But with its unique softcore sexual escapades, ecchi has gained enough fame to be considered a parallel to top-grossing genres like shounen, seinen, romance, and harem. This is also why new and exhilarating ecchi manga series keep on emerging.
Consequently, there is a deluge of titles to be explored. So, if you are new to this genre, you may feel a little lost. So, I present a list featuring the best and must-read titles you should consider reading this year!
Best Ecchi Manga Series of 2023

It starts when the government reveals the presence of monster species and initiates an interspecies cultural exchange program. However, it strictly prohibits interspecies procreation.

And so, he finds himself engulfed amongst several well-endowed, nubile, and voluptuous females from another world. However, his real struggle is keeping his arousing thoughts at bay.
While he tries his best to avoid sexual scenarios, he still ends up entangled in their lewd and sensual bodies. The story takes another twist when the government announces that he must marry one of the girls as a test subject.
This brings another vigor to those already seductive monster girls, trying their best to score with Kimihito. What makes this title one of the best manga series is that apart from its sexual tension, the story has several comical scenes that will keep you entertained.

And so, the show is full of action, bloodshed, gore, and nudity, making it an iconic ecchi manga series.
Though the series remains strictly aligned with the storyline, it does not hesitate when depicting adult themes.
The content borders on the edge of hentai, going from implied sexual activity to actual graphic images. But, it is categorized as ecchi as it is not purely built for carnal desires but for satiating a hunger for action.
Anyways, if you enjoy watching the dark universe of manga, this is the ecchi series for you.
7. Shokugeki no Souma by Yuuto Tsukuda, Yuki Morisaki & Shun Saeki
Souma Yukihira loves his father’s restaurant and seeks to surpass his father’s cooking skills. And so he enrolls in Totsuki Culinary Academy – famous for its challenging curriculum and low graduation rates.
He goes there with a mindset of learning unmatched culinary skills and understanding the art of cooking on a deeper level. However, he finds himself caught up in fast-paced and intense competitions where he must appease the judges.
The storyline is brilliantly manifested with ecchi nuance where the female competitors have their Oppai bouncing up and down in rhythm, matching their cooking moves. In a sense, their delicious food gives the judges a prominent foodgasm.
With its unique idea and taste, Shokugeki no Souma is a must-read for die-hard ecchi fans and those new to the manga scene.

Moreover, she lives next door and goes to his university under a different name.
However, he must continue renting her because now, both their grandmas are invested in their relationship, and Kazuya can’t break his sick grandmother’s heart.
And so, the manga takes us through an emotional roller coaster as both partners start distinguishing their real and fake feelings for each other. While the manga satiates all its readers with a fair dose of ecchi antics like bikini shots and wardrobe malfunctions, it still leaves you wanting more.

And so, the story is a roller coaster ride with a person who is too shy to reveal himself for who he is and two vivacious women who are at his beck and call.
10. Nozoki Ana by Wakou Honna
Nozoki Ana is not for the weak of the heart. Unlike other sexual comedies, it explores the most lecherous side of human carnal desires as it unravels the psychological bind of eroticism and the guilt it ensues.
Tatsuhiko Kido moves into a new rental apartment and peeps through a hole in the wall, only to find his next-door neighbor, Emiru Ikuno, pleasuring herself. But he gets discovered while peeping and is somehow blackmailed into a mutual relationship.
As this unhealthy relationship progresses, the characters discover their identities but still engage in sexual teasing. In fact, Nozaki Ana crosses boundaries to the point it can even qualify as a low-tier hentai.
However, the series compels its audience to reflect on their own behaviors and interactions. Therefore, this manga series presents both an arousing and enlightening experience.
11. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san by Tadahiro Miura

He is not only forced to endure living among lewd and arousing female tenants, but the ghost herself is also a gorgeous creature with flowing silver hair – nothing like the rumors.
Set on helping the beautiful ghost, Yuna, Kogarashi starts to uncover secrets from her past and the fact that each girl in the house has some supernatural ability.
Keeping up with the harem-ecchi tradition, the house becomes Kogarashi’s harem with skirts flying around, wardrobe malfunctions, and intimate moaning in the backyard. This ecchi manga series, with tons of lewd moments, is like diving into ecstatic pleasures.
12. World’s End Harem by LINK & Kotaro Shono
True to its name, the World’s End Harem is a world that has become a harem after most of the world’s male population has died due to a lethal virus – “MK” or “Mankiller.”
Mizuhara Reito survived the crisis and is one of the 0.01% of surviving males because he was in a cryostasis state for five previous years. He also happens to be amongst the five males in Japan who have somehow developed immunity to the said virus.
This dire situation calls for a breeding program, and Reito is expected to impregnate as many women as possible to replenish the world’s population.
Finding himself amongst lustful and sex-crazed women every day is an adventure for Reito. While he has a vast harem, he still wishes to find his beloved girlfriend, who disappeared mysteriously a few years ago.
13. Sun-Ken Rock by Boichi
The ecchi universe has much more to offer than one may give credit to. Take Sun-Ken Rock as an example. The series has a solid main character with high morals and a ripped body. He is known as a delinquent but doesn’t fight without a justified cause.
Ken was orphaned at a very young age when his parents got involved with the Yakuza. Even then, Ken developed no bias or hatred. Instead, his life goals revolve around his romantic interest – Yumi.
Though he confesses his love, he immediately gets rejected because Yumi has decided to move to Korea to become a police officer. But love knows no bounds, and Ken proves it!
And so he follows Yumi to Korea and builds a life there. But there arises a slight problem, as he becomes one of the most renowned and respected Mafia Leaders. The trouble arises as Yumi is the police officer who hates Mafia bosses.
While the twists will keep you entertained, this completed manga series will make you laugh. However, this ecchi manga explores several erotic themes with an immense amount of adult content.
14. Velvet Kiss by Chihiro Harumi
Shin Nitta meets Kanoko through the most unfortunate circumstances when he is conned into signing an ¥80 million debt, and the only way he can get himself out is by befriending and keeping company with the rich brat, Kanoko.
Initially, Nitta tries his best to avoid Kanoko while she makes him run several errands. As the plot thickens, Nitta realizes that Kanoko is an extremely lustful woman who is obsessed with fornication. This makes dealing with her reasonably hard.
However, Nitta keeps his opinion of Kanoko to himself until he learns more about her past, and their relationship starts progressing.
The series is filled with drama, romance, and erotica as the main themes. But as ecchi, they take sexual intimacy to a new level with an audience left gaping wide-eyed and wanting more.
15. Sora no Otoshimono by Suu Minazuki
If you are looking for ecchi manga series blended with dark themes, this manga is a feast for you.

But when Tomoko is invited to witness the New World – a beautiful and sensual “Angeloid” falls from the sky and starts calling him master.
This title explores a series of adventures as the truth about the new world unravels. However, our main lead goes through extreme sexual tension as he is stuck with a buxom angel and is even enchanted by her unearthly beauty.
While the series does show several funny scenarios, it keeps one invested with its dark storyline.
16. Hantsu x Trash by Hiyoko Kobayashi
Youhei Hamaji is an aimless high school student who lacks the drive to commit to anything. However, he is a dedicated pervert who wants to fondle curvaceous girls.
One day he is offered to join a water polo club, where lunging at girls and groping publicly is considered normal. Out of desperation, he joins the club, but to keep having fun, he must be a persistent member. However, committing to the club is an exceptionally hard feat for Youhei.
Things change when the girls’ star, Chisato Hagiwara, berates him for his perverted nature. But that turns on Hamaji, and he develops a crush on her, finally committing to the club.
The series is filled with light-hearted comedy, with Youhei desperately lunging at the voluptuous females in the water yet failing to touch them. And so, this ecchi is true to its purpose – very graphic yet funny.
17. Minamoto-kun Monogatari by Minori Inaba
Ever wonder what life is like with an eccentric aunt who is hell-bent on making you a playboy?
Terumi Minamoto surely knows, as his aunt wants him to learn all the secrets of a woman’s mind and body. Her persistence in the matter comes from her interest in researching the Tales of Genji – a guy who seduced 14 women to bed.
Now, Terumi is a guy with a lovely feminine face. This caused fellow women to mistake him for a girl and bully him out of sheer jealousy. Eventually, he developed gynophobia. However, as a college student, he wants to overcome this fear of women, and his unfortunate circumstances bring him to his aunt’s doorstep.
His aunt, a voluptuous woman herself, welcomes him with open arms and, umm… an open blouse. She will train him hard to make other women fall for him.
The series offers heavy erotic themes blended into comedic plots. While Minamoto targets 14 women, each woman witnesses something personal. So, Minamoto-Kun Monogatari is sure to keep you entertained.
Conclusion
Though there are several genres with arresting plotlines and charismatic characters, ecchi manga keeps us engrossed with its sizzling sexual interactions. Most are created to entice our senses by showing graphics images enough to stimulate the imagination, playing with a very biological instinct.
And the titles listed above are some of the best I have read so far. I hope that you will also enjoy reading these titles as much as I have, but if you think that I missed out on some good ecchi manga series that deserves a place on this list, then do let me know because I’d love to read them and add them to the list to make it even better!
