The Straw Hats use York as a source of information on what is happening in the outside world.
After leaving the chapter on a cliffhanger, fans must wait an extra week for Chapter 1090 to arrive. But there’s no need to worry; the spoilers and raws of the chapter will be released prior to the official release.

One Piece Chapter 1090 was initially slated to release on the 14th of August, 2023 in Weekly Shounen Jump Issue 36, but due to the hiatus because of the Summer Festival, the chapter is now slated to release on the 21st of August 2023. However, as the raw scans of the Chapter are released before the official release, you can read Chapter 1090 as of the 18th of August 2023.

One Piece Chapter 1090 – What to Expect?
With the end of chapter 1089 on a cliffhanger, chapter 1090 of One Piece is going to unveil a lot of mysteries, and a lot of expectations are already roaming on the internet.
Chapter 1090 will most likely begin right after the end of Chapter 1089. In chapter 1090, we will probably see the battleships arrive at Egghead Island, leading to a confrontation between Luffy and his crew mates with the Marines, or this could be a ruse by the Straw Hats to lure the Marines into a trap.
As Chapter 1089 discusses the Mother Flame, we might get more information about it and learn if this is a weapon that was somehow responsible for the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom. However, York is doing everything under duress. She is currently held hostage by Zoro, but she will inevitably get herself free and run away. York might be a worthy ally of Straw Hats, but that is far-fetched. While Zoro had his sword on her neck, Usopp was setting up the Transponder snail.
The earthquakes in One Piece have also become more prominent than ever. The shockwaves have been felt all over the world, and everyone is quite shocked by this situation. It was mentioned that the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom caused the earthquakes, which were experienced by people all over the world.
