This particular series is a spin-off of Kohei Horikoshi’s “My Hero Academia” manga, which is one of the most popular anime and manga series. It was written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and drawn by Betten Court, and it began serializing in 2018 and ended in 2022.
The anime adaptation of this spin-off manga series was announced last year at the Jump Festa 2025 events held in December, and now we know when to expect it. As expected, Studio BONES will be in charge of animating the series.

What is My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Anime About?
As it is a spin-off series based on “My Hero Academia,” it is set in the same world where heroes use their quirks to do good!
Koichi Haimawari always wanted to be a hero growing up, but he was blessed with a mediocre quirk like “sliding” that sticks his limbs to the ground and allows him to slide wherever he wants. He soon realized that becoming a professional hero would be impossible because his quirk wasn’t just up to the mark.
But that doesn’t stop him from doing good deeds. He uses his quirk to help people as much as possible, like returning lost items or assisting the elderly.
While professional heroes like All Might can legally use their quirks to fight crime and maintain law and order in society, certain people who aren’t registered are considered vigilantes.
One such vigilante is Knuckleduster, who encounters Koichi during a back alley brawl. Seeing potential in Koichi, Knuckleduster asks him to help him in his vigilante activities. He tells him about a new drug called “Trigger” and how it can boost the user’s quirk but take away their sense and rationality.
They are soon joined by a third member, Kazuho Haneyama, aka Pop☆Step, a freelance idol. Together, they create an unlikely team of vigilantes.
While all three of them want to do some good for society and take down criminals, none of them really know what they’re doing, but they’ve got the courage and foolishness to give it a go!
Conclusion
That brings us to the end of the article! As the release date for this anime is very close, we have almost all the details, like visuals and cast and crew info!
However, we need a full trailer for the series because the makers have only released a teaser trailer right now. As we inch closer to the release date for the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime, we will also get a proper trailer.
