What to Expect from Dandadan Chapter 118?
With chapter 117 ending on a cliffhanger, we will see Okarun and his friends take on the main force of the extraterrestrials and finally beat them to make a balance for Earth. Chapter 117 quickly had one of the best developments and actions in the series, focusing on Okarun and his friends now taking down the extraterrestrial foes.
In chapter 118, we will probably see the primary outcome of the Space Globalists arc. Amidst all this, fans will finally get to see the long-awaited inclusion of Seiko Ayase as she joins the war, and now we have another macho granny in the mix, Reiko Kashima, aka the Slit-Mouthed Woman.
The most exciting and strange moment in chapter 117 was Reiko’s flashback of World War 2, where she lost her loved ones. As she saw the UFOs destroying the whole city, it reminded her of the bombings in Japan during World War 2. Nobody expected a flashback in the series focusing on the catastrophic historical war!
Chapter 117 featured a lot of chaos. The extraterrestrial beings are now bombing the whole city. That tiny entrance space tearing apart will cause more casualties in the city than ever. Okarun and Momo run toward Erosuke to knock the spaceships out and stop the destruction.
However, before Momo and Okarun even get close to Erosuke, Reiko arrives to confront Momo and delightfully expresses that she’ll torture Momo in the mirror.
This causes Momo to lose control and fall on her knees in despair as she now faces more troubles than solving them. But the tides start to change fast as Reiko sees the sight of UFOs destroying the city.
This reminds Reiko of her days during World War 2 when she saw her whole city burning down because of the US bombing operations. Causing a particular fire inside Reiko, Reiko lost her control, used her mirror powers, and threw a massive punch at the main UFO to destroy it.
The chapter ends with Reiko destroying the main UFO and declaring that she will destroy every UFO present in the air space.
Hopefully, in the next chapter, we will get a significant flashback of Reiko and her past life. This would be an intriguing addition to the plot of Dandadan, and it will be interesting to see how Reiko will react once the aliens have been taken care of.
