The Chainsaw Man manga is famous for getting increasingly controversial with each released chapter. The latest manga chapter, i.e., chapter 140, has been released and looks better than ever. With chapter 140, it was announced that there will be no delays to the next chapter! That means Chainsaw Man chapter 141 release date is just a week away.
In chapter 139, Denji accepted the offer of joining the Chainsaw Man church that the Sword Man, Miri Sugo, offered him. However, Denji only accepted the offer as Miri added that he would be able to sleep with as many women as he wanted.
Chapter 140 begins with Miri bringing Denji to the Chainsaw Man church, and as the name suggests, the church has an exterior of a bust of Chainsaw Man’s head. Ironically, the building was originally a cult’s headquarters, and the church took over the whole building.
The church might be a set up to trap Denji as the devils still hunt him, and considering most of the members of the Chainsaw Man church are hybrid devil-humans, it is the perfect way for them to get rid of the Chainsaw Man once and for all.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 141 Expectations:
After Denji arrives at the Chainsaw Man church, he is introduced to his assigned guide, Nobana Higashiyma, the brother of the fan-favorite character Kobeni Higashiyama. The church’s interior is majestic, and almost every church member is a student.
This makes Denji curious, and he asks Nobana why no adults are in the church. To this, Nobana replies that all of the adult’s mental faculties are diminished because a particular American ultraviolent ray is present in Japan’s air, and that’s why there are only students handling the church. As most of this sounds like a built-up explanation, Denji is confused.
To stack up the lie even more, Nobana says that he’s not lying, and the ray was identified by Chainsaw Man himself (Denji has no clue), which makes Denji much more confused.
In the church, there’s a chapel called Chainsaw Man Chapel where Denji is supposed to marry someone, and that’s how he will join the Chainsaw Man church. Denji refuses to marry anyone, to which Nobeni drops a bomb of explanation on Denji, which makes Denji more confused than ever. Denji calls out Nobana’s lies and says he is just at the church to sleep with a woman, but he won’t get married.
Denji is still confused and says making up some bullcrap and forcing kids to marry in the church is wrong. Sugo and Denji get into a heated argument, and Nobana tries to calm things down until a new character arrives.
Barem is supposedly in charge of the church and is familiar with Denji because he is one of the weapon hybrids, the Flamethrower hybrid devil, who fought Denji in his Chainsaw Devil form. Denji is still dozing off as he is still confused, and to get rid of it, Barem uses his index and middle finger to pluck Denji’s nose.
Barem will do anything to make Chainsaw Man return, even if it means killing Asa Mitaka, who is cleaning out the monsters in the city. The chapter ends with Denji running out of the church, with Barem quoting, “Enjoy your normal life while you can!”
Denji is now out of essential allies while public safety monitors him. This might be a setup for the fan-favorite character Kishibe to return and debut in the second part of Chainsaw Man. Denji might discuss the current situation of Nayuta with Kishibe and get away from this hell of a life.
Conclusion
That’s all for today. As there’s no break next week, we’ll be able to read Chainsaw Man chapter 141 in a couple of days, as it is set to release on August 29, 2023!
