What is My Hero Academia Anime About?

My Hero Academia is a legendary shonen anime series, often regarded as one of the new-gen “Big 3.” It follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, who has always admired heroes and wanted to become one.

The world of MHA is full of people with “quirks,” which are special abilities that everyone is born with. As some pro-heroes use their quirks to save people, some villains use their powers to terrorize and cause people harm.

Seeing the heroes, Midoriya was always full of hope to become a hero. However, his dreams are shattered when he discovers that he’s quirkless. With such distraughtness, he tries his best to become a hero without a quirk until he meets the number one hero in the whole world, All Might.

After All Might sees how passionate Midoriya is about becoming a pro hero and how pure-hearted he is, he decides to become his trainer, chooses him as his successor, and reveals to him a secret that nobody knows: the number one hero was initially Quirkless, and it was passed on to him.

All Might pass on his quirk with Midoriya and begins training him to fully manifest the quirk’s power, as it is too much for him to handle at the moment. With this quirk, Midoriya finally sees a light and decides to pursue his dream of becoming the Number 1 Hero again.

After more than 7 seasons and battling against some of the most powerful people in the world, Midoriya is finally facing off his ultimate enemy in the form of Shigaraki as their battle enters the final stage in the upcoming My Hero Academia season 8!
