The long-awaited chapter of Record of Ragnarok has finally arrived, and the intensity of battles seems nowhere near to dulling anytime soon. Despite all the other things happening in this chapter, we still focus on Leonidas and Apollo fighting. They go at it until one falls.
The end of October is a long way, but it’s worth the wait. The next part of this fight, Record of Ragnarok chapter 83, is scheduled to drop around then, and just like every chapter before it, we have high expectations.
The previous chapter concluded with Apollo’s face being crushed against the floor by Leonidas’s earth-scattering attack. The crowd fell silent for a moment, and this momentary hush sent a massive surge of confidence through the mighty King of Sparta.
While this attack might signal the end of the battle, Apollo is no ordinary foe. The outcome remains undecided, and victory could belong to either combatant.

Record of Ragnarok Chapter 83 Expectations:
The recent chapter begins with Leonidas standing in front of Apollo’s motionless figure, smoking. Apollo’s supporters are still in disbelief, while Leonidas’s supporters can hear chants of ‘Sparta.’ This impressive attack by Leonidas captivated the crowd and caught Hlökk’s attention.
This moment of temporary victory doesn’t last long, as Apollo stands back up, blood dripping from a severe laceration on his face. The crowd begins to panic upon seeing that deep wound. Leonidas suggests to Apollo that he should go back to sleep, as he might not want to appear ungrateful. Apollo replies that he’s beginning to ignite his soul to defeat Leonidas; this version of himself is the most beautiful, alongside Zeus’s comments on how he’s the only one who knows himself the best.
The scene then shifts to the temple of Delphi, dedicated to the honor of God Apollo, where the words ‘Know Thyself’ are inscribed. In ancient Greece, these words from Apollo were often understood mockingly, suggesting that humans should know their place. However, was this the correct interpretation? No, it was quite the opposite.
Following that, a story is told about ancient Greece, when Gods and humans were still closely connected. Among them lived a monster known as Python, residing in Delphi. Due to his unpleasant appearance, he was banished from heaven and continued terrorizing humans, raiding their villages and making their lives hell. To counter him, Ares’ divine division ended him once and for all, but they were no match for the monster, who proved more substantial than all of them combined.
The monster continued to intimidate humans until Apollo arrived in the land one day, vowing to deal with Python, who had decimated his friend God Ares’ army. Upon seeing one of the 12 Gods of Olympus in his territory, Python became furious and lunged at Apollo with the intent to kill. However, he was defeated by a single strike from Apollo. Undeterred, Python persisted in attacking Apollo day after day but was defeated every single time.
One day, Apollo asked Python why he continued to push himself despite his repeated losses. Python replied that there was nothing beautiful about his appearance. In response, Apollo explained that what truly made one beautiful was the determination to fight with a burning soul.
He considered himself equal to Python in this regard. Once an ordinary god, Apollo had acquired all his abilities — God of Philosophy, Poetry, Medicine, Bow, Prophecy, and boxing — through hard work and determination. He emphasized that those who recognized their weaknesses and were unafraid to overcome them were the ones who were lovely.
This revelation stirred emotions within Python, for in his eyes, he had been nothing more than a mindless beast causing harm to people. Apollo bid his farewells, remarking that everyone had moments of recklessness, but preventing those moments from escalating into war was a god’s duty. Python pledged not to lose to Apollo again in parting, demonstrating his determination to improve. Following this, he ceased terrorizing humans and erected a temple in Apollo’s name, inscribing the words ‘Know Thyself’ upon it.
The story then returns to the present, to his fight against Leonidas. At that moment, Apollo convinced himself to ignite his soul to become more beautiful. Upon hearing these words, Leonidas is consumed by rage, vowing to exert every bit of his strength to defeat Apollo. Apollo acknowledges Leonidas’s attack as beautiful and suggests they both should burn their souls to their hearts’ content.
Conclusion:
Apollo and Leonidas are two relentless forces. The desire to confront each other at the peak of their power has led them here. Their determination burns like fire; neither side will yield in this clash.
The next chapter will arrive on October 25, 2023, and the battle between these fearless contenders will continue.
