Bleach finally returned to our screens last year with the release of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime, as after a long hiatus, the story’s final arc received an anime adaptation. And now that 2 cours have concluded, you are curious to know the Bleach TYBW Part 3 release date!
The studio went all out with series creator Tite Kubo to create one of the best anime adaptations in recent times. Not only is the animation movie quality throughout but the music and performances are also top-notch. This adaptation has been phenomenal, even adding brand new scenes to the story that Kubo couldn’t include during the original manga run.
If you didn’t know already, the final arc of Bleach was rushed from the get-go when the manga was serializing, forcing the author to wrap up the series earlier than he wanted, meaning he had to rush through the plot points and we didn’t get to see what Tite Kubo intended to do in the manga’s conclusion.
With the adaptation of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc, Kubo announced to the world that he would be adding scenes he wanted to draw during its initial run and even add new moments he had thought up over the years, mainly when it comes to specific Bankais.
With the release of Part 1 and 2 of Bleach TYBW anime, fans have been loving it, but we are now in the end game. The finale of part 2 was an insane extended-length episode that not only showed off a brand new Bankai but set the series up for its finale. Bleach TYBW Part 3 was also announced when the second part concluded, and fans cannot wait for it to premiere.
So, now that we have more information on what to expect from the upcoming parts and episodes of Bleach TYBW anime, let’s discuss its release date and the plot details!
Bleach TYBW Part 3 Release Date:
From what we know, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Part 3 is all set to release sometime in 2024, with Spring 2024 being the probable season when the anime will premiere.
It takes a lot of time and effort to make sure that the animation of this particular adaptation is on point, especially with Tite Kubo working heavily alongside the crew to create brand-new scenes and give us a satisfying ending.
This means delays could happen with the release date of the upcoming episodes, or possibly, we could see another part added on to finish off this fantastic series. But that’s not likely considering the pace at which the anime is releasing, so there’s no need to worry about delays for the time being!
Tite Kubo wants to make up for his mistakes with the original manga run, adding additional scenes and hopefully changing how the ending plays out. He needs to add more context to the ending and make it feel less rushed, which will give him and the team more than enough time to do that.
We cannot wait to hear more about Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3, and we are super excited to see some more footage from this intensifying final battle between the Soul Reapers and the Quincies!
Is There a Bleach TYBW Part 2 Trailer?
Yes, there is! A new trailer for the upcoming part was released as soon as the Part 2 finale aired. You can watch the trailer below:
Bleach TYBW Plot Recap and Part 3 Expectations
The final arc of Bleach is lengthy and deserves a lot of attention. So far, we have seen the initial battle between the Quincies and the Soul Reapers, the reveal of Yhwach, the death of the Captain Commander, and the return of Ichigo Kurosaki to the main battlefield. A lot has happened, but things will still get crazy in this next part.
The plot of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 will primarily be based on the original manga that ended back in 2016, but from the finale of Part 2, we know new things will be added to make the story more interesting. Not only did we see a new Bankai revealed during Part 2’s finale, but we also got an entire battle that happened off-screen in the manga.
From here on out, we might be in uncharted territory for the most part, and that means it’s a super exciting time to be a Bleach fan.
Tite Kubo has played a massive part in the adaptation of his final arc and expressed his disappointment in how the manga version of this arc played out. This is why things are changing for the anime adaptation, and it’s super exciting to finally see some more of these changes play out.
Part 3 looks like it will roughly pick up around chapter 612 of the manga, but we don’t know how much material will be covered initially as brand-new content is being added already. In official interviews, Kubo stated that we would see more of the Squad 13 Captain Utitake.
He plays a huge role in the manga, giving us more details on the Soul King. However, it’s not in-depth in the manga, so hopefully, we will see more content and the character’s background added to this anime adaptation to flesh this out more.
Part 2 also teased the return of several characters, such as Sosuke Aizen and Grimmjow. Yoruichi also returned to the screen after over a decade, so we cannot wait to see more of them.
Many returning characters only had a small role in the original manga, so it looks like Kubo will give them more time to shine, especially Sosuke Aizen, as he is the author’s favorite.
Overall, we should expect fantastic animation, an incredible story, and brand-new scenes for those longtime manga fans out there. The true nature of the Soul Society will be revealed, and the final plan of the Quincy invasion and what will happen to our favorite characters will be revealed in this next part.
I, for one, can’t wait to see all the amazing Bankais, including Ichigo’s true bankai, that were shown and those that were never shown in the upcoming parts of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc!
How Many Episodes Will Be In Bleach TYBW Part 3?
Because each part of the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is released in an anime cour, it looks like we should be getting around 13 episodes for Part 2 as well.
This could be increased, though, or artificially increased through extended-length episodes. We saw this with Part 2 as the finale was a longer episode, so hopefully, this is more than enough time to cover some more of the remaining content in detail.
Bleach TYBW Cast and Crew Details:
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 will have its entire cast returning, as all the characters will be featured. Not only will Ichigo and the gang return, but we should also see some returning faces from earlier on in the story. The anime version has already teased certain characters like Grimmjow returning, but who else will join the fray for the final battle?
As most characters will return for the upcoming episodes, we’d also see most of the voice cast returning to lend their voices. So, the cast of the upcoming Bleach TYBW Part 3 will be as follows:
- Masakazu Morita as Ichigo Kurosaki
- Fumiko Orikasa as Rukia Kuchiki
- Yuki Matsuoka as Orihime Inoue
- Noriaki Sugiyama as Uryu Ishida
- Hiroki Yasumoto as Yasutora ‘Chad’ Sado
- Kentarō Itō as Renji Abarai
- Ryōtarō Okiayu as Byakuya Kuchiki
- Romi Park as Toshiro Hitsugaya
- Shinichiro Miki as Kisuke Urahara
- Takayuki Sugou as Yhwach
- Yuuichirou Umehara as Jugram Haschwalth
- Naomi Kusumi as Ichibei Hyousube
As for the studio responsible for the animation, Studio Pierrot will again work on the upcoming part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc, and we cannot wait to see what animation quality they come out with.
So far, this arc has been fantastic, with movie-level animation every episode. With the series slowly coming to a conclusion, will they level up their game and make something even more spectacular? Let’s hope they can!
Conclusion
To wrap things up, the ending of Bleach TYBW anime is fast approaching. We know that Part 3 won’t feature the conclusion of the arc, as there will be a Part 4 as well to reach a conclusion, as it was already announced that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc will run for 4 cours.
If you have read the original manga, you know how much potential this arc has. It was terrific throughout but missed the mark in many areas, especially the ending. But there’s a pretty big chance that we will see a proper ending now that Tite Kubo is heavily involved in the anime adaptation, and they have all the time and resources to make that happen!
So, that’s all there is to know about the upcoming Bleach TYBW Part 2 release date. I’ll update the article as soon as there’s new information available regarding the upcoming episodes!
