After two long weeks, we finally have chapter 1090 of One Piece. The chapter was titled “Kizaru,” a direct reference to Admiral Kizaru, and it begins with Luffy screaming at Gorosei that he’s the person who will become the Pirate King, with Nico Robin shocked behind him.
Luffy threatens the Gorosei with York’s life and asks them to clear off the ships heading toward Egghead Island. The Gorosei state that they have the main objective of securing three things no matter what it costs. York’s safety, Vegapunk’s records, and last but not least, the power station that gave birth to the Mother Flame.
Living up to the anticipation of its hype, chapter 1090 ends with the initiation of a battle between Kizaru and Sentomaru. Luffy and everyone on the Island are shocked by the lightning that shows Sentomaru blocking Kizaru’s attack. Thanks to his Observation Haki, Luffy warns everyone that someone strong is about to show up!

One Piece Chapter 1091 Expectations:
With One Piece chapter 1090 ending on a cliffhanger and initiating a battle between Kizaru and Sentomaru, the Egghead Island arc is finally picking up the pace. According to many fans, the previous chapters of the Egghead Island arc have been kinda slow.
The Gorosei will be moving shortly, as they want to secure York, Punk Records, and most importantly, the station that created Mother Flame. Everything except these three is not their priority and can be sacrificed.
The chapter then cuts to a conversation between Saturn and a Marine, where the Marine explains that Rob Lucci’s squad and the Cipher Pol agents are still present on Egghead Island.
Saturn shows his cruelty and says they’re just human beings, and no matter what, even if they are sacrificed for a more significant cause, they can multiply again. “Remember, human life holds no more value than that of an insect.” A statement of Jaygarcia Saturn to the Marine.
The chapter then cuts back to the straw hats, who have York kidnapped. York starts crying and says that the five elders have got her back, and even if someone lays a finger on her, the five elders will blow up Egghead Island as they did to Ohara.
In the following panels, we learn that four Vegapunks are severely wounded, and two have been confirmed dead. The chapter then cuts to the Labophose Basement, where we see everyone feasting and a sight of the Seraphims enclosed in bubbles. Dr. Vegapunk explains that these bubbles are infused with the power of the sea, and it is the best thing to hold Devil Fruit users. Those Seraphims are S-Snake, S-Shark, S-Bear, and S-Hawk.
Dr. Vegapunk said they must make the Frontier Dome work; to do that, they would need to bypass the barrier. To pass the barrier, they now need a passcode set by none other than York. Dr. Vegapunk calls the Straw Hats’ navigator, i.e., Nami, and tells her that the log still hasn’t been recalibrated, but they could use her compass.
Nami explains that her compass locked onto the northeast in Wano. Here comes the big reveal. Dr. Vegapunk tells everyone that the northeast means Elbaf. Everyone’s jaw dropped as they will finally set for Elbaf soon. To leave for Elbaf, everyone must escape from the back of the Island, as thousands of navy ships cover the front coast.
While everyone on the Island is heading for the escape, it is revealed that Rob Lucci has leaked all of the information from the Island to Gorosei and Admiral Kizaru.
As Kizaru is made of light, he will get past the Frontier Dome. He uses the Yata no Kagami ability to fly away to Egghead Island. Kizaru flies straight toward Sentomaru. The chapter ends with Kizaru attacking Sentomaru and Sentomaru blocking him.
With the chapter ending with the fight between Sentomaru and Kizaru, we might see the continuation of their battle in the next chapter. It might be possible that Kizaru overpowers Sentomaru and heads for everyone. At the same time, they are preparing to escape to Elbaf.
We may get the ultimate showdown between the Straw Hats and Admiral Kizaru, with Luffy and his crew looking forward to settling their score with Kizaru, who humiliated them back on the Sabaody Archipelago!
