Finally, it was Nintendo’s turn to present at the E3 2017. After Microsoft, Ubisoft, Sony and the rest had its turn, family-friendly Nintendo stepped in with a few new exciting launches. The presentation wasn’t that long but it definitely had Nintendo fans excited. One of the first announcements featured the iconic Mario himself in an all new action-adventure packed game Super Mario Odyssey.
No, the game is anything but like Etrian Odyssey; it just borrows a similar name. Super Mario Odyssey will feature all of the adventurous, creative elements Nintedo games are known to have. The game will be set in an open-world where the player will search the map for Power Moon collectibles.
Super Mario Odyssey brings back the colors and vibe of a classic Mario game with a few upgrades and wider controls. Now Mario’s red cap, dubbed Cappy, will have a character on its own. Mario can throw Cappy around on objects to possess them. What’s even more exciting is that Mario will metamorphose as the cap is tossed onto other objects. The gameplay trailer showed Mario in his T.Rex form as well as a Mario Tank and a Mario Bullet Bill.
The environment of the game is diverse: Super Mario Odyssey will feature multiple landscapes ranging from icy terrains to busy city street.

Super Mario Odyssey may as well be the ‘core Mario platforming experience’, as stated by Gamespot, much like Super Mario Bros that was once popular on the now primitive Nintendo DS.
The new Mario game is scheduled to release on October 27th and it will be launched on the Nintendo Switch.
