Unlike most of the anime released in the Fall of 2022, Chainsaw Man only has 12 episodes in the first season. Most of the episodes have already aired, and the season is about to conclude in just a few weeks.
The Chainsaw Man anime series is based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It is one of the most popular manga series at the moment, as every new volume consistently finds a place in the best-selling list every month.
The first chapter of the Chainsaw Man manga was released on December 3, 2018, which is fairly recent. And the explosive growth and popularity of the series are something to marvel at. Not only does it have a unique story, but it also has fascinating characters unlike any you have ever seen before. That, combined with excellent art and breathtaking fight scenes, made the manga one of the most popular in recent times.
And now, MAPPA Studio is in charge of the anime adaptation, bringing the manga to life, and they are known for their exhilarating animation. This is another reason why the anime’s popularity has skyrocketed.

What Chapters Will The Chainsaw Man Anime Cover?
Since the first season of Chainsaw Man only has 12 episodes, we can’t expect the makers to adapt all the arcs that made up Part 1 of the manga.
Plus, the anime’s pacing seems perfect, as they neither rush nor drag out the events. I would say that the anime is doing a great job not only animating the manga panels but also adding more content for anime-only watchers and manga readers to enjoy.
Going by the events that happened in the last episode, we can guess exactly how many chapters the Chainsaw Man anime will cover!
The anime will wrap up and conclude with the “Katana Man Arc.” We already saw Katana Man making his appearance and declaring war on the Public Safety Division in episode 8, where he not only attacked Denji and company, but his agents also attacked other devil hunters, Makima included.
So, the remaining four episodes will feature a bloody battle between Denji and Katana Man. Hopefully, the final episode will give us a glimpse of the next arc, the “Bomb Girl Arc,” and show us Reze meeting Denji before the first season concludes.
To answer the question of what chapters the Chainsaw Man anime will cover, it will be 39-40 chapters!
Where to Watch Chainsaw Man Anime?
Although Chainsaw Man is a pretty popular title, it is not available on many streaming platforms. However, that will likely change when the season is wrapped up and it finds a place on a streaming platform you are most familiar with.
For now, season 1 of Chainsaw Man is available on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
The best place to watch the anime is Crunchyroll, as new episodes are released on the platform at almost the exact time they are aired in Japan. So, there’s no way of getting spoiled because you are watching the new episodes as soon as they are released.
What is Chainsaw Man Anime About?
The title of the series doesn’t exactly tell you anything about the story. It just gives you the idea that there is a man who has something to do with a chainsaw. That’s not exactly the entire story!
Chainsaw Man is about a down-on-luck guy Denji who lives in a world inhabited by powerful Devils. Yes, actual devils! Denji is under crushing debt, left behind by his father, and he works hard to pay it off to the Yakuza. One such day, Denji comes across a tiny dog devil, Pochita, who’s hurt, and he saves him. The two become a team, and they start hunting devils for the Yakuza to pay off the debt.
However, the Yakuza makes a contract with the Zombie Devil and betrays Denji, who ends up dead. Pochita sacrifices himself and becomes Denji’s heart, reviving him and transforming him into Chainsaw Man, a Chainsaw Devil hybrid. Now, Denji can transform into a hybrid and have all the powers and abilities that devils possess.
With these new powers, Denji massacres the Yakuza along with the Zombie Devil. When he’s done, he is greeted by a group of people led by Makima. She tells him that they are a part of the Public Safety Division, an organization of Devil Hunters that hunts down the devils and keep the public safe from them.
Makima offers him the job of becoming a devil hunter with the promise that he will have good clothes to wear, good food to eat, and a shot at a good life.
Denji immediately accepts and begins his new life as a devil hunter. However, Denji is unlike any shonen protagonist, and his dreams are somewhat perverted. He is also not one to play by the rules and would cheat if it meant that he came out victorious!
Conclusion
That brings us to the end of the article, as now you know exactly when new episodes of Chainsaw Man come out. Not just the day, you also know the time new episodes are released!
With the release schedule mentioned above, you won’t have to depend on anyone to tell you that a new episode just dropped. You can set up a reminder for every Tuesday, depending on your time zone, and you will be able to watch new Chainsaw Man episodes as soon as they are released.
