At the end of 2021, a teaser took the otaku world by storm; it was none other than Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku anime teaser!

Hell’s Paradise manga was released in 2018 and earned a reputation within no time compared to many others. Within two years, many people knew about it. In January 2021, Hell’s Paradise anime adaptation was officially confirmed. Finally, in December, a one and half a minute long teaser was released.

The manga is not that long, as it only has 127 chapters, but the story is unique, fast-paced, and filled with exciting characters and breathtaking action sequences. Every single chapter of Hell’s Paradise is on a whole other level. It gives excitement and chills at every single point. This manga was undoubtedly worth the read.

The success of the manga is one of the biggest reasons why everyone waits desperately for its anime adaptation. Considering the manga material, we can predict this anime to be relatively short compared to others, but it’ll likely have multiple seasons!

Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Anime Release Date:

The release date for Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku has been announced. The first episode of the first season will premiere on April 1, 2023.

It was predicted that the anime would be released sometime in 2023, based on the teasers and visuals we got last year, but it’s a surprise that we are getting the anime adaptation so soon. I assumed the premiere date would be set later this year.

But it’s all good because we will be able to see Gabimaru and the other characters in action much sooner!

I am sure those who have watched the teaser and official trailer of the anime would have already guessed which studio is behind its animation. It’s none other than everyone’s favorite MAPPA!

Everything seems perfect so far, the music, the artwork, the feels, literally everything, and that’s why it’s getting harder to wait any longer, although the wait is not a lot this time. This time, MAPPA alone is not working for it, as Twin Engine also gets the credits for this fantastic series.

Nothing more has yet been revealed officially. We don’t know the number of episodes and seasons it would have. If the creators choose to release 12 to 24 episodes per season, then we can predict it to end in 2 to 3 seasons. Nothing is confirmed yet, so we can only predict.

What Is Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Anime All About?

Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is based on the ninja action-fantasy manga written by Yuji Kaku, and it revolves around Gabimaru and his harsh life. The story has betrayals, assassinations, do-or-die situations, and much more.

Gabimaru is an assassin who has worked his life assassinating people ordered by the village leader. Fate plays it hard, and the leader betrays him. Before that, he gets a chance to spend some moments of his life with the chief’s daughter, who becomes his wife. Ultimately he loses his heart to her and wishes to leave the bad work of killing people for good.

However, life has this habit of doing things its own way, which also happens for our buddy here. Gabimaru gets to know what life and fate are. The village leaders send him on a final mission that ends with him becoming a prisoner. Life becomes even harder and brutal when the higher-ups order his execution.

The manga becomes gore and disturbing when the executioner tries different painful methods to kill him. No matter what method is used, it doesn’t work on Gabimaru. It is revealed that Gabimaru’s will to live stops him from giving up and dying a meaningless death.

Finally, the plot gets on the beat when the executioner Sagiri gives him a chance to live but on a condition. He will have to join a special squad that is about to leave for a mysterious island to find the “Elixir of Life,” a substance said to grant immortality to whoever consumes it. From that moment onwards, Gabimaru’s journey begins, where he will have to face several deadly situations, unlike anything he has ever faced.

Along with many other criminals and executioners accompanying them, the group reaches the mysterious island in question, an island filled with monsters, death, and the stench of blood. Gambimaru is accompanied by his executioner Sagiri, and the duo displays their skills and bonding as they survive this dangerous place.

There are multiple emotions the reader feels while witnessing Gabimaru’s ups and downs in his life. There are adventures, sorrows, thrills, horror action, and some crazy scenarios. The art is overwhelming and fantastic, with a dark theme. The best part is it fits exceptionally well in all the categories, including shounen, action, dark themes, and more.

    Conclusion

The wait is the fate that every otaku has to accept unwillingly, but as we know that Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku will premiere on April 1, 2023, the wait is not that long.

Since we know which studio is animating the series, it will surely be a banger, as MAPPA is known to deliver the best results when it comes to a series of this caliber. So, all we can do now is wait and expect some new news before the Hells’ Paradise: Jigokuraku anime release date approaches near!
