If you thought the survival-horror game, Evil Within was as best as this genre of gaming could get, Bethesda has a sweet treat in store for you. At the E3 event yesterday, the company revealed the sequel (Evil Within 2) to the highly popular 2014 horror game with a delightfully creepy trailer.
The trailer of Evil Within 2 hinted that there will be a storyline which will involve the protagonist saving his daughter, Lily. Not much was revealed in the trailer except for some glimpses of the characters, a lot of white and almost no gameplay controls. In fact, the cinematic trailer could almost pass for a CGI movie.
Several rumors have been around for a while now about the new game but it was only yesterday the official announcement was made. There were however hints given by the company itself about the possible release of the sequel to their game. Last Summer, vice President of Bethesda Softworks, Pete Hines, spoke in an interview about the game and quoted to have said, “The Evil Within did well enough commercially to warrant a sequel.”
Evil Within 2 is scheduled to release on Friday the 13th (coincident? We think not!) in October this year. The game will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Evil Within 2 is already up for pre-order, priced at US $59.99.
