Bleach TYBW Part 2 release date has been announced, and the first episode will premiere in July 2023. Since the first part of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War concluded, the release date for Part 2 has been revealed, and now we have the exact date too!
On December 18, 2021, Studio Pierrot revived the classic anime giant, Bleach, after its decade-long slumber by announcing the coming of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, aka Bleach TYBW, the story’s final arc. So, as the premiere of anime drew near, all generations of fans started revisiting the original series.
By September 2022, even Gen Z had read through the manga panels featuring the Thousand Year Blood War arc. Consequently, netizens claimed they knew exactly what to expect from the Bleach anime coming out in October 2022.
But the first episode of Bleach TYBW shocked everyone with how unpredictable it was, even with an already-established story. There were several changes to the original manga arc, but each frame added only more details. It’s already known that the anime will expand the story and add several anime-only scenes that will make the final arc the best arc of the anime.
That also explains why Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be released in four cours. And so we have to wait for not only Bleach TYBW Part 2 but also Part 3 & Part 4. And I, for one, am completely on board with this because we need that many episodes to do proper justice to the manga’s final arc!
What is Bleach TYBW Part 2 Release Date?
On December 27, 2022, the Bleach TYBW: Part 1 finale aired. After this, Studio Pierrot released an official video trailer announcing the coming of the second part of Bleach TYBW, titled Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War: the Separation.
Accordingly, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 is set to start streaming in July 2023. And the first episode of Bleach TYBW Part 2 will premiere on July 8, 2023!
However, Bleach fans have endured for over a decade to see the final arc getting an anime adaptation. Therefore, a wait of a few months will likely not dishearten them, especially when we know that the producers are doing justice to the source material.
The release date was announced on the official Twitter account of Bleach, along with a new visual art!
What is Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Anime All About?
Based on Tite Kubo’s manga series, the Bleach anime begins when a high school boy named Ichigo Kurasaki absorbs the soul reaper powers of a Shinigami, Rukia Kuchiki, while helping her against a monstrous hollow. And so, he ends up becoming a part-time Soul Reaper.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, or Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen, is the last arc in the Bleach manga series.
The anime begins when mysterious disappearances happen in both the Human World and the Soul Society. But Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends Orihime Inoue, Yasutora Sado, and Uryu Ishida get involved only when they rescue two soul reapers, Ryunoke Yuki and Shino Madarame, from powerful hollows.
Enters Asguiaro Ebern, a member of the Wandenreich Empire, who tries to swindle Ichigo of his Bankai, only to get caught and reveal the coming of Quincy King, Yhwach, who intends to invade both the Soul Society and the Hollow Sphere (Hueco Mundo).
Consequently, Ichigo and his friends are forced to form alliances with their previous enemies to end Yhawach’s mass killings. Otherwise, the world’s balance will deviate and bring it to an end.
Bleach TYBW Part 1 featured several secrets from the past, including the origin of Ichigo’s power and the centuries-old conflict between the Soul Reapers and the Quincies. It also shows action-packed fights between Soul Reapers and the Sternitters, the Elite Quincy warriors of Yhwach.
In Bleach TYBW Part 1 finale, Ichigo finally unveils his true double-bladed Zanpakuto while Soul Reapers train for the incoming war. The ending scene shows Uryu meeting Yhwach in Sternritter attire, indicating that he has betrayed his friends by joining the ranks of his enemies.
And so, Bleach TYBW Part 2 will feature Ichigo questioning his friend Uryu for his disloyalty. And it will also feature many fight scenes that will be much better than the first part.

FAQs:
How Many Episodes Will Be There in Bleach TYBW Part 2?
Studio Pierrot will likely do about 50-52 episodes for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime. If that number is true, the anime will be released in four cours of 13 episodes each.
Since the first part of Bleach TYBW anime concluded with 13 episodes, Bleach TYBW Part 2 will most likely also have 13 episodes.
And so, Bleach TYBW Part 3 and Bleach TYBW Part 4 will also contain 12-13 episodes each.
Bleach TYBW Part 1 condensed 63 manga chapters from 480 to 542 in its 13 episodes, covering manga volume 55 up to some portion of 61. Therefore, we can anticipate a similar pattern for Bleach TYBW: the Separation or Bleach TYBW Part 2.
And so, the thirteen episodes of Bleach TYBW Part 2 will likely be adapted from 60+ chapters, spanning from manga volumes 61 to either 66 or 67.
But anime adaptations of manga volumes often lead to certain additions or omissions. So, we will know how far the manga gets covered only when the series premiere in July 2023.
Where to Watch Bleach TYBW?
Since Viz Media owns the streaming rights for the Bleach series worldwide, except for the Middle East and Asia, Bleach TYBW will be released on Disney+ worldwide.
However, Hulu will be hosting the series in the Americas and Japan.
So, if you are from Canada or the USA, you must stream the anime on Hulu. But if you are from the Middle East or Arab countries like Qatar, then Disney Plus will be your streaming platform.
That said, Hulu has been streaming English dubbing for Bleach TYBW since November 4, 2022.
Meanwhile, Netflix has also started to stream Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War after the release of the 5th episode of the series, but it remains exclusive to India and South Korea.
And so, we can say that you will be able to stream Bleach TYBW Part 2 on both Hulu and Disney Plus, but there is no certainty about Netflix at the moment.

Having premiered after 10 years of original series, the anime Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has fulfilled its promise of a thrilling season packed with action.
