Finally, it is time for the much-awaited anime that has marked its place as one of the “Big 3” in the world of anime and manga! Bleach has indeed kept its fans on their toes after the confirmation of its final arc, Thousand-Year Blood War, being adapted into anime. Fans had no hope of it ever hitting the screens because the manga had ended long ago. But after waiting for almost 8 years, we have confirmation that the final conclusion to the epic Bleach story is about to be released.
The manga ended 6 years ago, and there were no signs of the final arc ever getting an anime adaptation. For the past six years, fans have wondered, “Will the last arc of Bleach ever get an anime adaptation?” Thankfully, the long patience has been rewarded, and it’s hitting the screens sooner than ever.
If you are wondering when does Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime come out, then you are on the right page. Bleach’s creators made everyone go crazy after they announced its anime adaptation last year. After years, the “Big 3” of anime, Ichigo, Naruto, and Luffy, will be back on screen simultaneously!
The anime has covered 479 manga chapters out of 686 chapters. The Thousand Year Blood War Arc is the last arc that will mark the end of the series and bring the story of Ichigo Kurosaki to a conclusion.
What Is The Release Date Of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Arc?
Last year, Bleach creators announced the confirmation about the anime adaptation. On August 6, the creators teased the fans with the news of the screening of the anime’s first two episodes. The screening date is confirmed for September 2.
Though the exact date of the anime release is not yet revealed, it’s confirmed that it will start airing in October 2022. The month is officially announced, and it’s also mentioned in the key visual art.
Update: VIZ Media has announced that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime will premiere on October 10, 2022. The anime will have 4 cours, and with 12-13 episodes in each cour, it’s likely that there will be more than 50 episodes!
On July 3, Viz Media and Bleach official Twitter account shared the official trailer, which made the fans go crazy over it. Several new characters were introduced, including the Sternritters and Yhwach. The trailer clearly showed world destruction, and the text was written, “The World In 9 Days,” which does nothing but give goosebumps.

The last arc that got the anime adaptation was the “The Lost Substitute Shinigami Arc,” after which the anime came to a complete halt. But we did know that Ichigo regained his Shinigami powers after losing them in his battle against Aizen, and he is on track to undergo intense training and discover who he is, figure out his lineage, and find out just how strong he really is in the upcoming Thousand-Year Blood War Arc.
What is Bleach Anime All About?
Bleach highlights the life of Ichigo Kurosaki, an ordinary college student, but he was someone who could see ghosts. He lived an everyday life until he met a soul reaper, Rukia Kuchiki. The girl gets injured while trying to protect Ichigo’s loved ones from a hollow, and fate plays its part in the process. Ichigo gets Rukia’s powers, and his life goes straight from being an ordinary student to being a Shinigami.
A Shinigami can’t give its powers to anyone just like that; therefore, the higher-ups of the soul society decide to punish Rukia. Ichigo continues to defeat the hollows and, after hearing about Rukia’s punishment, goes to help her. Before entering the soul society, he is trained by Urahara, a mysterious and prominent character throughout the series. During the training, Ichigo develops his own Shinigami powers.
Over time, Ichigo’s character develops, and he becomes stronger and stronger, reaching the next stage of his powers. Several antagonists enter, from Soul Society’s Shinigami to Espadas of Hueco Mundo. The journey of Bleach has been spectacular.
The penultimate season ended with Ichigo losing his shinigami powers after fighting against Aizen. After some time, he encounters some Full Bringers who help him regain his powers. However, he gets scammed by the leader of the Full Bringers, Kujo Ginjo, as he has eyes on Ichigo’s powers. Ginjo was a former substitute shinigami and had lost his powers as a punishment.
To regain his powers and take revenge on soul society, he first helps Ichigo awaken the power of his Fullbring and later steals it. However, Ichigo’s Shinigami fellas make an appearance, and things turn out interesting. Ginjo dies after the protagonist defeats him in the battle, and the arc concludes with Ichigo regaining his Shinigami powers.
The coming season is expected to bring more bloodshed than ever, with 20+ new characters. It is said to justify the meaning behind the series name, which undoubtedly does. There will be thrilling events, some crazy action, and shocking revelations. Many powerful antagonists are expected to wreak havoc in the upcoming arc, with Yhwach being the main antagonist of the arc.
This will be an all-out war on a much grander scale than the one against Aizen and his army. Many heartbreaking moments are also expected. Bleach fans better get ready to cry and feel the chills down your bones!

Conclusion
Bleach Fans should wait a few more days as October will hit soon. The English release of the anime may take a day or two, but Viz Media has taken the responsibility to deliver quick work.
The anime will follow the manga judging from what we have seen in the trailer. However, it still depends on Tite Kubo if he wants to change the plot slightly, and I hope he does change it, at least for that one thing regarding Ichigo’s final battle. If you have read the manga, then you know what I am talking about.
So, the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime release date is very near. Make sure you start watching it as soon as the new episodes drop, or you will be spoiled by all the spoilers floating around the Internet.
