Today is a good day for Pokémon fans as new games have been announced and are coming this year. The Wii U’s popular Pokémon-fighting game, Pokkén Tournament is finally coming to Nintendo Switch and will be available on September 22nd. The news was announced via a Pokémon Direct live broadcast, where it was even confirmed that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are also launching for Nintendo 3DS family of systems.
After the re-release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch, the next title to re-release on the console is Pokkén Tournament. The game is titled, Pokkén Tournament Deluxe (or DX) and the unveil trailer looks really good. We can clearly see how the game has been updated for the Nintendo Switch and it will allow two players to fight at the same time using a single Joy-Con controller.
The new edition of the game will also include online ranked play as well as a 3vs3 team battle mode. Moreover, the game will feature all the 16 Pokémon from the Wii U fighting roster along with new editions in the form of Decidueye, Croagunk, Empoleon, Scizor and Darkrai!

The Pokkén Tournament DX will require a paid subscription to Nintendo Switch‘s online service to play the game; but considering that the online service won’t be launching until 2018, players will be able to enjoy the online play for free.
The company has a playable demo of the game planned for E3, and more details are expected as well! The game already has a release date and you will be able to play it starting September 22nd.
