With all eyes on the heated ICC Champions Trophy finals between India and Pakistan yesterday, the Chinese smartphone manufacturers saw it as an opportunity to tease their latest, yet-to-be released smartphone, OnePlus 5. The company has aired an advertisement that lets us in on the full look of the new phone and it definitely corroborates with all the design leaks we’ve been receiving in the past few weeks.
The advertisement flaunts the slim, sleek metal body of the OnePlus 5, along with showing off the dual camera setup at the back, curved edges, a fingerprint sensor in the front, antenna lines on the top and bottom of the back. The advertisement also mentions the official release date of the smartphone in India at the end: 22nd June.

In another video recently posted on Youtube by the official channel of OnePlus India, celebrity and brand-ambassador OnePlus, Amitabh Bachchan is seen unboxing the next generation smartphone.
For one thing, OnePlus hasn’t been keeping its phone in the shadows and we already have enough information to know what the new smartphone will be like. A few days ago, the company tweeted about the refreshed OxygenOS that will run on OnePlus 5, as well as a blue filter light addition. We were also made known through a report online that the 6 GB RAM variant of the smartphone will be arriving first in India and will be priced at Rs. 32,299, whereas the 8 GB RAM variant will cost Rs. 37,999.
If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest updates of this brand new smartphone, OnePlus 5 will be the successor of OnePlus 3. It is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch QHD display, 3,600 mAh battery, powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat. What makes the handset stand out from its competitors is the amazing camera specs it packs: a dual camera setup at the back (23-MP), with a 16-MP front-facing, selfie camera.
We’ll get to know more about (if there is anything more to know about!) the phone on June 22nd during its official announcement in Mumbai.
