Google Daydream VR support is coming to the Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, via an update later this summer – the company unveiled during its annual Google I/O Conference. LG’s next flagship device, presumably the LG V30, is speculated to be lined up next to reap the Daydream VR support.
According to Clay Bavor, the head of Google’s VR team, both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ will get Daydream functionality this summer. Although the company is running its very own Gear VR Platform but he was pleased to announce the Samsung’s support.
Last year, Google announced the Daydream VR program which so far received a very limited support. In fact, people using Google’s very own Pixel devices were capable of experiencing Daydream program. Other than that Google placed rigid rules so that only the phones with influential processors and super impenetrable displays could work with Daydream VR program. But during Google I/O 2017 Developer Conference, Google confirmed that Samsung, the leading smartphone brand, would soon be proficient of adding up the support for this sizzling technology.
Samsung’s magnificent latest releases, the Galaxy S8 Series have seen substantial sales by now and are already well-suited with the Gear VR headset. So, the users of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are going to get an additional option with the phone adding up Google Daydream VR support this summer.
Furthermore, Google also announced that LG’s next flagship phone coming later this year will also support Google Daydream VR Program. Keeping the circumstances in mind we can vigorously presume this handset of LG is going to be LG V30, which is seemingly featuring an OLED panel, thus empowering it to pass Google Daydream VR Program acceptance. But still, we have to wait for the official announcement from LG in this case.
Along with these announcements, there comes in the news that Google has also been working on the development of the new reference design for a standalone Daydream headsets which will offer its users an amazing experience. The VR is going to be easier to use, contented, more accessible and effective. It has been reported the Qualcomm is one of the partners that is assisting the Google in this regard. It will enable the third party companies to use these designs to build their headsets. However, HTC and Lenovo have already declared on working on such devices.
