There have been a lot of leaks in the past regarding the HTC U 11 and the best and the standout feature of the smartphone has to be the Edge Sensors that allow users to perform various tasks by squeezing the side of the device. Now, the smartphone has appeared in the leaked virtual render video showing all sides of the device.
We already know that there won’t be a 3.5mm audio jack in the device and the images confirm that fact. The virtual render video has been leaked by OnLeaks and it shows a 360° video showcasing the vibrant glossy red HTC U 11.
The virtual renders should be exact copy of the smartphone and seems to be leaked from the factory or the case maker and the images show the placement of the buttons, sensors and ports.
The front of the smartphone shows the capsule shaped Home button, with a fingerprint sensor presumably placed underneath it. The display is not curved, as seen from the images, but is flat and the bezel spills across the edges giving it a curved look. The back of the smartphone features a glossy red color and sports a 12 MP camera.
There is a spotted mic-hole on top of the smartphone with a SIM/micro SD card tray and on the bottom of the smartphone, we see a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille and two holes – presumably for an in-call mic and one for noise cancellation.
Although the left side of the smartphone doesn’t have any buttons or trays, it is safe to assume that there will be sensors present to allow you to perform various squeezable gestures. On the right side, there is a standard layout of the power button below the volume rockers.
The HTC U 11 smartphone is rumored to have a 5.5-inch display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It will have a 4GB or 6GB RAM and will come with 64/128 GB internal storage and will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. The smartphone is set to be unveiled on May 16 and we will get more solid news by then.
