Nokia has announced that they have started shipping the much awaited Nokia 3310 feature phone, however there’s no word on the region that smartphones are being shipped to. There’s no specific information about the India launch of the phone, but it is expected to hit the stores by June this year.
We can expect more news about the device in the coming days as HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer is holding an event in New Delhi on Monday. The company took to Twitter and Facebook and announced that the shipping process has started. The tweet and the status reads “Your 17 year wait is over”.

The Nokia 3310 feature phone was announced in MWC 2017 in Barcelona and India Today confirmed the feature phone, along with Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 will launch in June in India.
The phone shares quite a lot of similarities with the older Nokia 3310 phone, but the newer model comes with 2.4-inch QVGA display (with 240×320 pixels resolution) that replaces the old monochrome display. It will run on Series 30 OS, will feature a 1200 mAh battery and will have 16 MB storage capacity. Moreover, the phone also sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and supports dual SIM.
Since there wasn’t any new updates regarding the phone, not even the region the phone is shipped to, there isn’t much anyone knows about the launch. However, that’s all going to change in the next few days as event will be hosted by HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer on Monday in New Delhi and is likely to reveal a lot of new information about Nokia 3310 feature phone as well as Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 phones.
