The new iPhone 8 has been sparking rumors for a while now. Just yesterday, more leaked images were made public that give us probably the best idea of what the new Apple model might look like. These render images were leaked via the Twitter user, OnLeaks who has been providing pretty accurate Computer Aided Design (CAD) images of new smartphones.
From the leaked images, we can see that Apple’s 10th anniversary edition smartphone will have a strikingly similar display to the Samsung Galaxy S8 with edge-to-edge bezel-less OLED screen which does look like an all-glass design. The display screen has been thought to measure about 5.8 inches. It also seems to lack a physical button, perhaps to keep up with the entire virtual home button experience.

Estimations have been made on the measurements of the new iPhone 8 which will be 144 mm in length, 71 mm in width and 7.7 mm in thickness. If this estimation is accurate, the iPhone 8 might a tad bit larger than iPhone 7 but still smaller than the iPhone 7S. The 7.7mm thickness also means it might just be a bit thicker than its previous versions.
The design also shows us the microphone hole and a front facing camera which might be dual in lens. Rumors via Ming Chi Kuo, KGI securities analyst, also suggest the front facing camera will have face and iris recognizing features with 3D sensors.
The images of the back of the iPhone 8 reveal a shiny glass back with a metal frame. The dual-lens primary camera is also seen to be placed vertically instead of horizontally as it was in the last iPhone model. This might aid in the 3D and augmented reality effects that Apple has been rumored to include in the iPhone 8.
An odd thing about the render images is that we cannot locate a TouchID fingerprint sensors. Earlier this April, there were reports of the company facing technical difficulties regarding the placement of the fingerprint sensors. While some sources suggest the TouchID might be placed on the rear end of the phone, others believe it may be integrated within the touch screen or placed on the Apple Logo.
The new iPhone 8 is scheduled to launch in September 2017, so before that we can only know so much the exact specs and features of the new Apple model. We might even see a delay in the release schedule if the rumors are true about the company facing technical difficulties.
