Following the leaks of the smartphones, Huawei has launched the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus in China. The big highlights of the smartphones is that they come with 20-megapixel selfie camera and dual camera setup on the back, and runs on EMUI 5.1 OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
There isn’t much difference between Huawei Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus except their storage capacity, battery and screen size. The smartphones sport a metal finish, a fingerprint scanner on the back and will be available in Green, Rose Gold, Black, Gold and Blue color options. There is no Home button on the front or capacitive buttons, the bottom edge consists of the speaker grilles and USB Type-C port with the power and volume keys at the right edge.
Huawei Nova 2 and Huawei Nova 2 Plus Specs
Coming to the specifications, the Huawei Nova 2 sports a 5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS in-cell display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It is powered by a 2.36GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and runs on EMUI 5.1 OS based on Android Nougat. The smartphone offers 64GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The Huawei Nova 2 comes with 2950 mAh battery with fast charging support.
The best feature of the device is that it sports a 20-megapixel front camera with features like low light photography, beauty filters and more. It also features a dual camera setup at the back – the 12-megapixel camera for wide angle shots and 8-megapixel is the telephoto lens for more zoom.
As for the Huawei Nova 2 Plus, the smartphone sports an almost similar design and identical specs compared to the earlier model. The only difference is that it comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display, a larger 3340 mAh battery and the inbuilt storage of 128 GB.
Huawei Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus Price
The Huawei Nova 2 smartphone is priced at CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 23,500) and the Huawei Nova 2 Plus is priced at CNY 2,899 (approximately Rs. 27,200). Both these smartphones will be made available from June 16.
Other than the smartphones, the company even launched various accessories to go along with it – a mobile bracelet priced at CNY 298 (roughly Rs. 2,800), a Bluetooth headset priced at CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 6,900) and a panoramic camera accessory, also known as Ball camera, priced at CNY 899 (roughly Rs. 8,500).
