Huawei Honor 8 Lite has finally made its way to the Indian markets and is said to be rather a lighter and curtailed version of its previously launched Huawei Honor 8. This stripped down variant by the Chinese brand is attracting masses by offering it at an affordable price. But when it comes to features and design, does Honor 8 Lite have enough in it to attract customers? Well, let us dig deep into its specifications and features to get to know what temptations it has for its users.
Starting from the display and design of Huawei Honor 8 Lite, it is as striking and appealing as Honor 8. It features 5.2 inches full HD (1080 × 1920 pixels). The front and the back side of the phone are composed of 2.5D curved-edged glass with a metal frame all around for a more protective look. By utilizing the glass material, it seems like the manufacturers tried to give Honor 8 lite a premium feel which they have managed it pretty well.
Since it is a glass back phone, it is easily going to get the mark impressions like the front side of the phone, and thus it will require being cleaned very often during its everyday usage. Although the glass is quite slippery, it is highly glossy and offers a very clean and alluring experience.
The three touch buttons namely back, home and multitasking are present within the display, and a gleaming Honor logo sits right under the screen of the phone.
A dual-SIM tray is present on the left side which can either be used for two nano SIM cards or one nano-SIM card and one SD card. The power button and volume rocker are positioned on the right-hand side. Honor 8 Lite possesses 3.5mm audio port which is placed at the top while two speaker grilles are located at the bottom of the phone. Apart from all this, Honor 8 Lite measures 7.6mm and weighs 147 grams. It fits well in hands and offers a very solid feel.
As the name of the phone suggested that it is the lighter version, so this refers to the trimmed down version of Honor 8 which makes it cost effective. The lighter version has eliminated the highlight feature as well as the dual camera module at the rear side. Thus it gets only a single rear camera. Honor 8 Lite comprises a single 12-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture, 8-megapixel selfie camera with a 77-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture is arranged at the front.
Taking into consideration the fingerprint sensor, it performs just one basic function of unlocking the device, however the fingerprint scanner on the Honor 8 used to execute multiple tasks. It runs on new EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat which has come with some really exciting features. This UI is user-friendly and very easy to use.
The smartphone is powered by Huawei’s in-house octa-core Kirin 655 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expandable to 128GB via micro SD Card. Huawei Honor 8 Lite consists of 3000 mAh battery which can last easily for the whole day with just one charge. This smartphone also encompasses several battery saving features as well.
The device will be obtainable in black color for the time being. The blue color variant will be available later this month.
