Gmail is one of the best email service provider on the Internet and every person has an account with them. Steps to Delete Gmail Account Permanently
Step 1: Go to www.gmail.com and sign in with the Gmail account you want to delete. (Make sure you are not signed in with multiple accounts.)
Step 2: Click on the image on the right-top corner and then click on My Accounts to open a page in a new window.
Step 3: Under the Account Preferences option, look for Delete your Account or Services and click on it.
Step 4: A new page will open on which two options are available, either delete a Google product which in this case is Gmail account or delete the entire Google account.
Step 5: If you are interested in deleting only Gmail account, then click Delete products and if you are interested in deleting the entire Google account then click on Delete Google account and data.
Step 6: Depending on which option you choose you will be redirected to a different page which will require you to sign in again with your username and password.
Step 7: Once you have signed in, delete a google service page will open.
Step 8: You can download a copy of the data before deleting Gmail account and to do so click on the Download Data button.
Step 9: After downloading the copy of your data, click on the recycle bin button next to Gmail.
Step 10: Read the page carefully as important information regarding the deletion of account is mentioned.
Step 11: After reading the details tick the box next to “Yes, I want to permanently delete my account”.
Step 12: Then enter the new primary email address and the current password of your Gmail account and click on Remove Gmail.
Step 13: You will receive an email regarding deletion of Gmail account. Open the email and click the link in it to confirm and verify the deletion.

- Once you have signed in to your account, you will see two options. Click on Delete Google Account and Data.
- Read the information given on the page very carefully.
- You can also download a copy of all the data by clicking on download your data.
- Below that a list of all the Google product that your account is linked to is shown and all of them will get deleted.
- Check the two boxes at the end of the page which confirms that you want to delete the Google account and all its data permanent.
- And finally click on the Delete Account button.
